Thanks for the message, GuardDog! It's always cool to be recognized, even though my edits aren't always that substantial (so far, at least; I hope to have the spare time to change that). This is a really comprehensive wiki (on that note, congrats on all of your contributions as well!), and I'm really liking what I see here so far. See you around! FA
Hey there Guard! Ezio passed as an FA, and since you did a lot of work on it, I figured I'd let you know so you could put the userbox on your page ;) I trust you know the code by now :) Nesty Contact me! 08:55, February 17, 2012 (UTC)
- Yep, I do - Thanks for the heads up, Nesty ;) =GuardDog 13:42, February 17, 2012 (UTC)
IRC
It begins... =D -- 'R BlaiddDdraig Enter... THE SCARY DOOR 03:29, February 19, 2012 (UTC)
- So it does... with my missing you as usual, sorry XD I've just started my finals week, but I'll be very free as soon as it's over. =GuardDog 14:02, February 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Fuck that, I'm not waiting a week XD. It's a pretty simple question, would you be interested in taking -S- as an Apprentice? Don't feel pressured to take him because I already have other people interested, but I'm asking all the free Masters just to keep it fair and give everyone a chance. -- 'R BlaiddDdraig Enter... THE SCARY DOOR 14:29, February 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Eh, talking about it here works too XD And sure, I wouldn't mind taking him on. Whatever he (or you) prefers is fine with me. =GuardDog 14:34, February 19, 2012 (UTC)
- IRC, when you're available. -- 'R BlaiddDdraig Funk Man's Funky House of Funk 05:46, April 21, 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll be on a few hours today. =GuardDog 02:36, April 24, 2012 (UTC)
If
If I may intrude for a second, I see ALOT of shared knowledge about the games on this site. I am however troubled that not once is there a reference to the true Assassin order that existed in Masayaf. I am refering to the Hashishin.
I am also wondering if any "Die Hard" fan is willing to travel with me to masayaf in the near future as a pilgrimage to the true Assassins that helped write the history that drives the series of games, books, and short films. I am very serious and dedicated. I am no editor, no apprentice, no blogger, ets... I have my mark, my brand. My loyalty is to the preservation of piece by any means available. Here is a link to a new guild: https://www.facebook.com/groups/391943417486272/ I am open to all inquiries and suggestions. Thank you fellow Assassins for your time and loyalty.Remember to honor the creed, and that Nothing is true, Everything is permitted.
- Sincerely, Michael Vanderburg Aeiyorne Dei
Francesco Vecellio
Just letting you know, Francesco Vecellio has made it to FA. Good job, and you know the code for the template ;) Nesty Contact me! 19:06, March 3, 2012 (UTC)
- Ah great, thanks for telling me :D =GuardDog 23:59, March 4, 2012 (UTC)
-S-
Hey GD, I stalled this decision for a while cus I had an awesome master scheme revolving around it, but the key part of it has kinda failed so I've got to do this the boring way. But in words you will understand, I've decided to give -S- to you as an Apprentice. I'll leave him a message detailing the switch and then I'll let you take it from there. -- 'R BlaiddDdraig Enter... THE SCARY DOOR 15:21, March 7, 2012 (UTC)
- Nah, the boring way works :p Anyway, you got it Rafiq, it'd be my pleasure. I'll go leave him a note over at his pigeon coop then. =GuardDog 15:05, March 8, 2012 (UTC)
Platform
Hey Guard, quick question, what platform do you play on? Master Decoder 08:25, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
- I play on the PS3. Why d'you ask? =GuardDog 08:25, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
- I was gonna see if you'd help me with a quick mp achievement, but I play on Xbox Master Decoder 08:27, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Ah okay - good luck to you then :p =GuardDog 08:29, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
Minor characters
Hey Guard, after replaying through Brotherhood a little, I remembered that there was two characters by the name of Livia and Mina that were killed by the Templar agents Il Carnefice and Malfatto. Do you think that they require an article, even if it is a stub? Slate Vesper 16:30, March 27, 2012 (UTC)
- Hm, I don't recall Livia, but Mina is listed in the Courtesans page, under known members. Personally, I think they deserve an article, as long as it's complete as possible :) =GuardDog 16:33, March 27, 2012 (UTC)
Let's get rolling
Since I can get back here on a proper basis now, and Sima is raging that I've left you hanging, we can get rolling with the next apprentice assignment when you're ready. Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 22:29, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
- That's great. I'll have something up later today or early tomorrow, just keep an eye on the coop. =GuardDog 04:00, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry that it's going so slow, I'll pick up the pace in two days or so. University work connected with getting the BA next month takes priority. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 13:59, May 18, 2012 (UTC)
- No worries, S, it's your apprenticeship. While no other potential apprentices need me, the assignments are just waiting for you. =GuardDog 14:08, May 18, 2012 (UTC)

Guards revamp
Hey Guard, one thing that I noticed is that for one section in your revamp of the article, Papal Guards etc. are referred to as "Elite types", but seeing as there's also a guard type named Elites, I figured I suggest that they could be called "Expert types" instead, so it takes out any confusion that might happen.
Also, in Revelations, aren't the guards that throw Thunder Bombs called "Bombmen" in the Database?
Finally, when I looked over it, I noticed you forgot to add about the Elites in Revelations, who accompany the Agiles in a four-man group, nearly being replaced by Janissaries later. (After Tarik's assassination, there's one Elite, one Agile and two Janissaries) Slate Vesper 07:36, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for these Slate, but I'm far from finished :) My last edit was just reordering the old content of the Guards page, I didn't read any of it. I'm starting to rewrite and correct them now though.
- For the "Elite types" section, I actually just couldn't think of a different title - "Expert" fits well though, thanks. I'll change the Bombmen and 16th century Elites segment as well.
- Thanks again, I'll keep working at it, but please let me know if you see anything else XD =GuardDog 07:43, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
- I'll make sure to do that. *salutes* Slate Vesper 07:52, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
Guards
I just noticed that GuardDog is revamping the Guards page... but I would just like to give a bit of my input. I noticed that you are separating each section into High Middle Ages, 15th century and 16th century. The High Middle Ages are a period, while the 15th century and 16th century are well, not periods but centuries. The correct equivalent would be just the Renaissance. Maybe you can also take into consideration that what we see in the games isn't the only thing that exists in the universe; there are always events happening everywhere in the world. (The 16th century was characterized by several notable international wars, resulting in the clashes of guards from different countries and armies. Among these were the Liberation of Rome, Siege of Viana, and power struggle in Constantinople.) These were just two things I noticed and found a little off, maybe you can work with that. :) -- Master Sima Yi 09:09, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Fitting, isn't it? :p Anyway, your input's much appreciated, Sima, thanks.
- As for the headers, I was just working with the division that was already there - will switch it to just "Renaissance" then. I'll also reword that section about the international wars XD
- And as I said to Slate, thanks, and please voice it if you catch anything else :D =GuardDog 09:16, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
- It were just two things I noticed, I don't want to interrupt your revamp too much or make it seem like I'm looking down on you. Keep up the good work! -- Master Sima Yi 09:21, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
I like the change but I preferred the previous guard pictures. Could you put those pictures back please. Of course I don't mind if you don't. Fairy Tail Grand Master<F.T.G.M. > 09:25, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
- In the end it's up to her to decide what she does with the revamp. Though I would like to add that the quantity of pictures makes the page a little crowded here and there, and then the "16th century" under the "Ranking" section is a bit messed up. I would also vary the placing of the pictures between left and right. Sorry! XD -- Master Sima Yi 09:31, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
- Fixing the Ranking section as we speak, Sima XD I can adjust the images too.
- And FairyTail, I thought those old images were good quality too, but the article just seems more uniform with the others if it has in-game images, rather than models. :) All the old images are retained in the Guards/Gallery page though. =GuardDog 09:37, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
- I noticed. Just showing my opinion is all. Glad you agree.Fairy Tail Grand Master<F.T.G.M. >4:37, May 10, 2012 (UTC)
Progress
I've made some further expansion to the assignment as promised. You can see it in the Sandbox. [1]
I've tried to keep as much to the canon and the facts based on the memory description as possible, and not put speculative info in. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 11:22, May 22, 2012 (UTC)
- Well done, the Personality section looks fine. Just maybe cut up the paragraph in the Biography, and expand the details of the Christmas Truce itself slightly (such as what exactly the two sides were doing). =GuardDog 03:28, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
Very concerned
Alright, I'm going to try and be as polite as possible even though I'm budding with irrational thought right now. Why was my edit to the trivia section of Eagle Vision reverted? If you could tell me why, please? The information I stated was relevant, as it wasn't stated anywhere else that another Assassin possessed Eagle Sense and that only Ezio did. I mentioned the bit about Altair as a fun fact, but the fact that I can't make any edits on this site because of my rank is upsetting in many ways. So I ask you, what do I have to do to gain some authority on this site? Supreme Master AssassinIL Mentori 03:08, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
- Your supposed "rank" has nothing to do with it - I don't think any editors on the Wiki hold positions over the others, save perhaps the two Admin. I reverted the edit because of the edit, not because of you.
- The trivia wasn't very relevant, and wasn't written too well. Also, though Altaïr wasn't explicitly mentioned to possess Eagle Sense, neither was it explicitly mentioned that he never achieved it - unless you have a source for that. If you do, by all means, please add it. =GuardDog 03:23, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
- You'll have to forgive me but I'm highly sensitive of a person. In any case, I think it was written just fine, I mean, English is my best subject so it's a bit insulting to be reading that. PS: I have a difficult time following regulations in general because of my fierce independence and unwillingness to follow orders/demands/commands/rules. I remain an upstanding citizen regardless of that fact however, but I checked under the (block) link and it states only administrators, wiki staff, etc. Have the permission to edit on the page, I'm guessing editors like I don't have sufficient experience to edit high class articles. Supreme Master AssassinIL Mentori 03:31, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
- When I said "wasn't written too well", I meant in terms of Wiki standards, not English. For example, you used a messy external link for Altaïr's page, when you could have just used "[[Altair Ibn-La'Ahad]]".
- Also, I believe certain pages are locked for the sake of avoiding vandalism or unsourced information. High-traffic pages are difficult to maintain with so many editors at once. Thus, some can only be edited by users logged in, by the staff members, or exclusively by the admin. It's not a show of power or experience, it's just for the sake of maintaining the quality of the article. Don't worry, you shouldn't take it personally. =GuardDog 03:44, June 7, 2012 (UTC)
clay
you know, i don't think clay died when the black room delteleted itself, the animus is powerfull enough to rebuilt it self, and so according the fact that clay is a part of the animus, he is also rebuilt, so i think that the animus has rebuilt itself, and the blackroom, including clay, who is now again in the blackroom
what do you think?
PS: i think that, if clay was a real live person, i could be related to him, as clay and me don't have much difrinces
- Please sign your posts, NikoMarston. It's really hard to understand your question, but if I got it right, no I don't agree. Clay is dead - Lucy admitted, as did virtual Clay. The Animus Clay is not the same as the living person, though he is a version of him. The Animus builds a virtual reality, that is not (at least not yet) powerful enough to affect the actual world. =GuardDog 02:20, June 19, 2012 (UTC)
I have
I have recently joined your order but does this mean i am a apprentice, if not thencan i really show how i'll favour the wiki
Thank youAssassinBlade123 20:42, June 19, 2012 (UTC)
- Welcome to the Wiki then. I might not understand you right, but if you're asking if you can join the Apprentice Initiative, then you can see the details here. =GuardDog 05:51, June 20, 2012 (UTC)
Asking GuardDog's permission.
Hi GuardDog! I'm asking permission to edit the Hidden gun page, I have a trivia fact I want to add.
- Seems you already added it, but it's fine, you didn't disrupt my editing anyway, Sorasonic. Also, please remember to sign your posts. =GuardDog 10:50, June 21, 2012 (UTC)
