Yeah, Silver's been saying that to me forever. Maybe it's really time to archive it...
<br>About the anon, he's blocked for 3 days, more info on his talk page. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Ducato. Excuse me?

Umm...Sir I didn't create those, someone else did and I requested to delete it, 'nuff said. Kell65 14:16, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Administrator

Hey. As this Wiki doesn't have an active administrator, I was wondering if this is a position that you'd be interested in taking. You have shown that you are dedicated to this Wiki and making sure things are in a good order/categorized correctly. Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in and I can go ahead and make it happen. - Wagnike2 22:31, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Congrats, you are this Wiki's newest admin! For more information on what an administrator does and doesn't do please check out this page. Assassin's_Creed_Wiki:Administrators . If you have any other questions, feel free to hit me up on my talk page. - Wagnike2 23:22, November 20, 2009 (UTC)
A VfD would be an acronym for Voting for Deletion. While you can't technically call a "vote", normally you mark the article for deletion by Categorizing as an article for deletion. Then you normally use the talk page of it to say why you think it should be deleted or not. Usually my rule of thumb is to give the other members a few days to respond on that talk page, if nobody responds go ahead and make the deletion. Another option that you could do is create a new topic on the forum and discuss if it should be deleted or not. Hope that helps. - Wagnike2 03:00, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Your reply

If you read my edit to the AC2 article, you'd see that it may be released in J,F or M

as stated

in my forum, Davinci refuses to open his door, not literally mind u, but figuratively, I'm thinking this is a glitch, but cant be sure, since i got the last 10 codex pages in a row, without getting them identified in between, now i can enter the room where i take the stuff, but he isn't there to decode them, nor is he answering his door in Venice where i thought he'd be, nor is he in the other place..wherever he was at first, i figured he wouldn't be there but i had to look, so does he move to the villa or what? cause without finding him and getting these decoded, i cant continue.Toolazytomakeaaccount 07:20, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism/Categorizing

Hey. I just thought I'd point out these two pages to you: Assassin's_Creed_II_Quotes. I don't know if those quotes are true or not, but they seem false, however since I haven't played the game I can't confirm it as vandalism or not. And secondly, Notoriety needs some categorizing. - Wagnike2 21:10, November 21, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Quotes

I can vouch for the quotes as I played the game through not 2 days ago. I don't have any source sadly. You only have my word.- Leitchy117 11:58, November 22, 2009 (AEST)

thought id mention

since your the only active administrator...that i happen to have on my watchlist anyway..i figured id mention what id posted on (http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Piece_of_Eden), just trying to make sure it gets to someone's attention, as i might not be the only one who could have feelings about this, needless to say i felt it needed to be said.Toolazytomakeaaccount 08:23, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

Congrats!

Hi there~! You might not know me, but I used to edit here a lot and was on wikibreak. I decided to come back, and I found that this wiki already has an admin~! Finally someone can delete those pages XD Well, let's work together from now on~! :D - SilverSummonerTaLk 02:27, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Re:Main Page

For featured article, you want to use the Template:FA. From there you should be able to figure out what it is, it's pretty self-explanatory and it gives you the option to write your own information instead of just merely copying the top part of the articles. For featured media, use the Template:FM, again this section should be self explanatory. Just change the file names and the information to what you like. I'm not positive if you can schedule featured articles for a day of the week, I can get back to you on that as soon as I find out. But for now, my advice would be to just change the feature article/featured media like once a week. Maybe each Monday? - Wagnike2 18:02, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Messed up!

Ey dude i believe i messsd up here http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Assassin%27s_Creed_Voice_Actors

All the way above something about a template, you might wanna delete that, oh and yeah i just made a new page:D Phillip Shahbaz, Altair's voice actor!

Voice Actors Format/Template

Since we don't really have a "designated template" for Voice Actors. I think it would be best if we try to get pages to adhere as closely to this page as possible. I know different pages will have different categories, they may not all have quotes, or videos, but I think this works pretty well. Philip Shahbaz - Wagnike2 18:28, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Might as well keep the quote feature for now how it is, I realize that it doesn't pop out that much against this background, but neither did the old format. Plus, quotes aren't that big of a concern. If I can think of a better format for it later, I'll change it up. - Wagnike2 18:46, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Welcome

Thanks, I'll try to do as much helping as I can on the wiki. VaultBoy101 02:51, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Category

this is what I have in mind, though :

under Assassin's Creed Series main category

  • Games
    • Assassin's Creed
      • Assassin's Creed Characters
        • Assassin's Creed Assassination Targets
      • Assassin's Creed Voice Actors
      • Locations, Gameplay, Weapons (not sure about this one.. maybe we can just create a page called "list of weapons" and dump in under gameplay category.
    • Assassin's Creed II
      • Assassin's Creed II Characters
        • Assassin's Creed II Assassination Targets
      • Assassin's Creed II Locations, gameplay, etc... same as the first game.
  • Locations
    • Assassin's Creed Locations
    • Assassin's Creed II Locations
  • Characters
    • Assassin's Creed Characters
    • Assassin's Creed II Characters
  • Assassination Targets
    • Assassin's Creed Assassination Targets
    • Assassin's Creed II Assassination Targets
  • Weapons (That is, if we decided to not dump the weapon page inside gameplay)
    • Assassin's Creed Weapons
    • Assassin's Creed II Weapons
  • Gameplay
    • Assassin's Creed Gameplay
    • Assassin's Creed II Gameplay

This is currently what I have in mind I'll add more later on~ ^^ - SilverSummonerTaLk 02:56, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

Great, I've seen you're already implementing it. The weapons category seems to be working alright and is coherent, I think we could leave it. =] -- D. Cello 15:40, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Hey, thanks for the welcome. I'm just glad I can contribute what I can for the AC wiki. More power to this wiki!

Thanks for changing what i wrote on Subject 16, you made what i said sound 10X better! (Death by Spoon! 02:33, February 13, 2010 (UTC))

Antonio Maffei

just a question: is antonio maffei (assassination target in san gimignano in ac2) is the same father maffei in lineage?

Yep, that's him. The conspirator, right? And remember, sign your posts. ; ] -- D. Cello 15:33, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
@D. Cello: thanks. the info's helpful for the improvement of AC Lineage -- Crimson Psyche 16:01, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

re:wiki Improve

eh.. you can just call me Silver XD
That'd be great, of course. May I know what is your idea? =D - SilverSummonerTaLk 15:37, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

I'm not gonna copy the answer here. xD Where it's gonna be, my place or yours? -- D. Cello 19:28, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

Checking in.

I figured that I'd check in with you, see how things have been going since you became admin, and ask if there is anything that I could help you out with at the moment. - Wagnike2 19:26, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

Gallery question

Hey D. Cello, I've got a question. Is there a way to make an image gallery minimize/expand? I've been uploading a bunch of pictures, and I don't want to overpower my user page.

I use my capture card to record a quick HD movie, then I just take screenshots :) --Zwoooooosh 22:18, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

Clever. =] -- D. Cello 02:53, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Sure. I just started a new playthrough yesterday so it'll be no trouble to get images. :) --Zwoooooosh 11:27, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Youtube videos are allowed, right? I'm uploading a bunch now (targets video), and I didn't think to check.

They are, but make sure to leave a spoiler tag or they will be removed. -- D. Cello 17:53, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Fair enough. I don't think the videos are anymore harmful than actually reading the wiki, but I'll spoiler tag 'em. :)

A video showing the target and location of a story assassination can upset a great number of people. It's like a walkthrough with images. Instead of putting a spoiler bar, you can just advertise about the content. ;]-- D. Cello 18:38, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Oh sorry, maybe I should've been more specific. The video doesn't show the assassination, its their database entry. Here, there's a link to all 9 on my user page. If you still think its a little too risky, I'll keep using spoilers. --Zwoooooosh 18:47, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Oh, fantastic! Don't worry, those need no spoiler tag at all. -- D. Cello 18:49, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Hey, I uploaded a bunch of screenshots from sequence 03. Probably more than you wanted, but you can just pick which ones you want to use and leave the others. :) --Zwoooooosh 00:17, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Great, that's nice. Keep posting, we'll sure make use of them ;]. You don't happen to have a screen from Ezio as Altaïr, has you? -- D. Cello 12:57, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

I've uploaded a couple more images today, including two of Ezio in Altair's outfit. In my gallery, as always. :) --Zwoooooosh 22:54, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Don't suppose you mean like this, do you? I took it earlier, dunno if its what you're looking for. Would you prefer a picture of Altair's armor (on the armor stand or Ezio) + the entire statue? --Zwoooooosh 19:34, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Alright, uploaded a bunch more images. Hopefully ones good enough. :) --Zwoooooosh 20:36, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Fantastic work, friend. Not words enough for what you're doing, keep up! ;D -- D. Cello 20:38, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Oh wow, thanks bud, I appreciate being included. :D --Zwoooooosh 22:47, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

Zwoosh, think you can get some pictures with the Codex ilustrations, like pages 2 and 3, pls? -- D. Cello 20:54, December 24, 2009 (UTC)

Done! :) --Zwoooooosh 22:03, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Fantastico, Zwoosh. You're definitely a perfect addition to the Istruttori. -- D. Cello 22:13, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Sure bud, I'll get a couple tomorrow. :) --Zwoooooosh 20:28, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

And here they are. View Point and Leap of Faith and a little something extra. Factions

Checco Orsi is able to wound Ezio when trying to retrieve the apple. Ezio falls to the ground, dropping the apple, then Savonarola steals it. :) --Zwoooooosh 15:00, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

Amelia is on my to-do list, I'll try to get to it tomorrow. And Mario and the rest of the Auditore family are listed as Ezio/Mario/Mario/etc. Auditore in the animus database, no da Firenze. --Zwoooooosh 21:16, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

Alright, got some pictures of Amelia. :) A little disappointed there's no database picture of her, but oh well. --Zwoooooosh 13:33, February 12, 2010 (UTC)
And I'm loving the userboxes. :) I've added some to my home page. --Zwoooooosh 13:45, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

Ahah, looks great. :D --Zwoooooosh 11:25, February 14, 2010 (UTC)

I have a question about galleries. What pages are allowed to have them? PassiveNeoluna 23:14, March 13, 2010 (UTC)

There are no strict rules about it, but I personally don't like them. I recommend the use on articles that have too many pictures and the images can't be integrated into the text swiftly. -- D. Cello 23:18, March 13, 2010 (UTC)

So it's best if I avoid placing galleries in character pages and just remove pictures? It seems to be a problem for pictures to be laid out properly in pages with little text. PassiveNeoluna 23:36, March 13, 2010 (UTC)

No, pictures shouldn't be removed. If there's no way to integrate them, then add a gallery. If the page in question already has integrated pictures succesfully, no need to move them to a gallery. -- D. Cello 23:54, March 13, 2010 (UTC)

I'll do it then, thank you for clarifying. PassiveNeoluna 00:36, March 14, 2010 (UTC)

More of a response, I think all the pictures pretty much sum the entire thing and I won't be adding anything else. But if you feel that I intergrated too many, i'll remove them. PassiveNeoluna 19:56, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

No need for that, leave it there. But we already have too many pictures and the article's becoming crumpled. -- D. Cello 20:21, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

RE: ATeam

Sure, I'm happy to help the wikia out in any way that I can. So sign me up to the ATeam! :) --Zwoooooosh 10:06, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Just saw your codex message, I'll work on that on the 26th. :) I have a question, though. I just tried to make a post in the Instruttorium Chamber, and ended up making a forum, apparently. >_< Sorry about that. Could you remove it and tell me how to use the chamber? --Zwoooooosh 00:20, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

I believe you did the right thing, the problem is at the forum itself... I'll see what happened. -- D. Cello 05:00, December 25, 2009 (UTC)

Cape Question

Hey D.Cello how am i supposed to get the forli cape? i finished the main storyline, am i missing anything?--Shadows473 03:20, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

You need to find 100 feathers. Good hunting. -- D. Cello 03:26, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Thankers--Shadows473 00:26, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

... what Forlì cape? Finding 100 feathers gives you the Auditore cape. Am I missing some estranged piece of knowledge? --Aftyn 05:44, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Then I misundertstood the cape in question... -- D. Cello 12:47, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

The ONLY capes available are in order of obtaining The Plain Cape The Medici Cape The Venetian and The Auditore Cape which can be obtained if you collect 100 Feathers so you have to have access to all cities and places containing Feathers so unless there's a secret cape in Forlí you must have meant one of the above.

Greetings

I don't know whether that was an auto thanks message for my edit from the website, but if not then no problem. And please tell me some articles that you would like someone to edit some things if he knows.I'd like to help out.

-Sirius

Later...

Hey. If you know about Machiavelli, that would be a good place to start... And you can check the article stubs section to see which articles need expanding. -- D. Cello 18:44, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Sword Replica Image

It's impossible to tell the true source of the picture. All the websites where they sell the replica of the sword use that same picture. Do a simple Google Image of "Altair sword", which is how I stumbled onto it. -- OpVines 20:27, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

DLC

Hey man, I noticed that the DLC was officially announced today so I updated the main page news, updated the ACII template, and created a page for the Assassin's Creed II DLC. Keep up the good work around here. - Wagnike2 20:30, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

new template

....and please welcome, the new template~! simply type {{Welcome}} and this is what you'll get:

so, what say you? =D - SilverSummonerTaLk 02:55, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Edit: oh and I also want to propose one thing: I suggest we turn off the wiki bot thingy that will automatically greet new users, and to do the welcoming manually (by placing the welcome template, that is~) That way, us editors will have more reasons to talk to each other XD - SilverSummonerTaLk 02:58, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Very nice, way better than that lame one liner. Now, it's... cozy. xD

Great, let's deactivate the bot, less work, what could happen?? T.T

Since I didn't become admin to sit and do nothing, let's socialize! =D How we deactivate that thing, and how we get notified whenever a new user registers? (I'm completely assuming you know how to do it, Summy) Ah, just one more question: the message would be the same that crazy AI send, but the difference would be that *we* would be typing it? -- D. Cello 03:27, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

well... *ahem* you can call me Silver. In fact, please call me silver. XD
In fact, I do not know how to deactivate that bot. I usually mess around with categories and templates and links so I'm not sure... bout new users, you can view the list of the new users in the Special:Logs/newusers. It's visible in the recent changes under "user creation log". so don't worry bout that~ ^^
I dont really understand bout your last question O.o but.. yeah, if the bot is turned off, then we should type the welcome template thingy to new users manually. Just simply type {{Welcome}} and then sign it with four tildes will do ^^ - SilverSummonerTaLk 03:46, December 2, 2009 (UTC)
Edit: to disable the bot, go to MediaWiki:Welcome-user and replace the content with @disabled. I can't disable it since I'm not an admin XD - SilverSummonerTaLk 03:54, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Okay, Summy, I'll call you Silver. If I disable the bot, the only difference would be me having to type the thing personally, while the AI already does that for me. I'm not seeing a advantage here. -- D. Cello 04:07, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

You can type the message personally. That is exactly the advantage. That alone can strengthen the bond between us editors~ ^^ And close community will make great wiki, no? That is what's happening in my previous wikis though~ ^^ - SilverSummonerTaLk 13:54, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

You're starting to sound like a Jedi... ^^ -- D. Cello 00:45, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

LOL well.. I don't watch Star Wars so I have no idea =P So, it's yay or nay? - SilverSummonerTaLk 01:21, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Not sure, I'm considering doing both, I won't be able to check the new user pages every 5 minutes... -- D. Cello 01:46, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Eh.. who says you must check every 5 minutes? I mean, other users can welcome new users as well, so it's not only you who'll be doing that, you know? @.@ you don't have to be an admin to welcome users XD - SilverSummonerTaLk 01:57, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, but what kind of admin would I be? It's like throwing a party and leaving for the movies, ain't the kind of thing you would tell your friends about.

Though it would be nice for people to greet each other, but we'ould need to warn them about that.. -- D. Cello 02:27, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

What do you mean what kind of admin? @.@ - SilverSummonerTaLk 02:34, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Whatcha think, sweetheart?

-- D. Cello 22:40, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

Ezio's baby moma

maybe someone can help me with this one, cuz i would really like to know who everyone thinks ezio is going to have a child with

Everybody thinks Rosa--Shadows473 03:48, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

But what about that lady you save in Forlì who Desmond thinks looks like Maria? Though that sort of brings reincarnation into the picture, which is a whole other area... Nevertheless, that's who my thoughts lie with. --Aftyn 05:42, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Ahh, what? Ignore that. I got a couple names mixed up. Also situations... I'm not sure what my head was doing. The above opinion is totally invalid, haha. I guess my new opinion is probably Rosa as well, though it could be someone from those currently corrupted memories. --Aftyn 09:50, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

I was under the immpression that the flashback level in the second game when you arent in the animus, when you meet that woman and well u know what, again i thought that was the birth of Ezio's family.Spoonodeath 17:57, February 13, 2010 (UTC)

That was the conception of Altair's son, not Ezio's child. We don't know anything about Ezio's kid yet. I don't think we will until the next Assassin's Creed game (Not 3, but the one that's supposed to be out before this business year is done with) AgentValentine 22:14, February 13, 2010 (UTC)

No i mean like the Birth of Dominico Auditore's grandpa or however he is related to Altiar. Spoonodeath 23:04, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

About the dlc

How much do you think the dlc will be?--Shadows473 03:48, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Can't be sure, but I would guess from 4.99 to 9.99 depending on content. It's the average price. When it's announced, we'll update it. -- D. Cello 12:46, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

regarding the welcome thing

so what say you? yay or nay? :D - SilverSummonerTaLk 13:15, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Yay, sweetheart. yay. -- D. Cello 13:23, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Yay~! :D then please @disabled thingy in the MediaWiki:Welcome-user thing... that is, if you don't mind~ :D - SilverSummonerTaLk 14:24, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Disabled, Silver. Knock yourself out. -- D. Cello 19:27, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Aye aye, Cap'n :D now let's welcome those new users~ :D - SilverSummonerTaLk 02:01, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

ACII Walkthrough

Hey man, I think we really need to pound out/get the walkthrough finished for Assassin's Creed II as quick as possible. I was wondering somehow though, how come in each DNA Sequence we don't have the "Missions" names. For example, I'm looking at [this source] and wondering how come we aren't doing something similar. Get back to me asap. Thanks. - Wagnike2 22:17, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

  • Alright, that's cool that you can't help write it. I'll try to get as much done on it as possible tomorrow. - Wagnike2 01:28, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

My plan was to start working on the walkthrough after finals, which are next week. Gotta study. D: I'm definitely good for it if you don't get much done because I'd really enjoy working on it. I just can't start it right now. --Aftyn 07:32, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

  • Got the walkthrough done. I'm sure it could use improvement in a few spots. But, it's done for now. - Wagnike2 20:34, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

That was fast... great, we'll improve it over time. ;D -- D. Cello 20:52, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Ah, thanks! Though yeah, speedy Wagnike2 here got it finished already. (: But I wrote up the first mission of the first sequence just to show my thoughts in the direction I planned on going. It's on my sandbox page: http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/User:Aftyn/sandbox Links where appropriate, of course, but I didn't add any since it's just the sandbox. Were I writing up the whole thing, it would be explained, just in case, at the top of the page that in the >>Mission Title<< section, italic text is the cutscene description, regular is more directions to the player (hence the presence of "you"). But I wasn't sure if so many spoilers (which would appear, of course, were all cutscenes laid out in such a fashion) were acceptable for what this guide is all about. What're your thoughts? (:

It seems alright. Since it's a walktrough, there will be spoilers (so they're completely allowed), but I'm gonna put a warning about them on top later, don't worry about it. Just keep in mind while writing to try and not stretch the text with unnecessary details, it polutes the page and makes it boring-hard to read. ;] -- D. Cello 19:03, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, obnoxious to read and equally as obnoxious to write. I'll definitely be keeping that in mind. (: Also I'm really sorry about the stub page thing. What I clicked on said something to the effect of editing the template for /that page/. Or at least that's how I interpreted it. ): --Aftyn 00:59, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

No problem, nothing that couldn't be repaired. ;] -- D. Cello 15:05, December 7, 2009 (UTC)

question

Do you think the name "Assassin's Creed Assassination Target" is too long for a category name? =/ any better ideas? - SilverSummonerTaLk 03:53, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

You can just diminish it to AC... I do that when mentioning Lineage or any other game/reference. -- D. Cello 14:03, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

Nah I can't... =/ that's just kinda "ugly" for a category name... maybe move to "Assassin's Creed Target"? - SilverSummonerTaLk 14:50, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

"Assassin's Creed Targets" works too. -- D. Cello 15:00, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

I have another question, if we want to place a big spoiler alert on a subject how would we do that?Spoonodeath 04:20, February 13, 2010 (UTC)

Insert {{Spoilerhd}} on the top of that article. -- D. Cello 04:24, February 13, 2010 (UTC)

Re: FA and GA

Hey man, I'm pretty well done editing for the night. But I promise you that I will look into it the first thing tomorrow and get back to you ASAP. - Wagnike2 23:55, December 8, 2009 (UTC)

  • So I was trying to figure it out today, I see how it works on Wookiepedia. I just can't really figure out how to get it working here/ I'm not that great with the coding. You might want to ask Joe about it. He has been doing this a lot longer than I do/ knows code a lot better. Sorry, that I couldn't be more helpful. - Wagnike2 17:45, December 9, 2009 (UTC)

Great, Nic. Thanks for trying. ;D Already contacted him, I'll let you know when he replies. -- D. Cello 18:11, December 9, 2009 (UTC)

By any chance, do you mean something like this? --> [1] - SilverSummonerTaLk 01:20, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, something like that.. You know how to do it, Silver? -- D. Cello 01:58, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Hey! this is the first time you call me Silver! Hurrah!
This is how they do it though:

YOu may want to tamper with the code a little bit~ :D - SilverSummonerTaLk 02:03, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

You asked, sweetheart. =]

Thaks for the code, I'll mess with it a little. -- D. Cello 02:26, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Summy, you know how modify the code to automatically include the articles to the list page the template is used on? -- D. Cello 22:43, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

You are the admin....

...which means you have the ability to ban people. I suggest that when you see a vandal, instead of just reverting his edits, you gotta ban him/her/it. Just a suggestion though. - SilverSummonerTaLk 14:13, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

I'm actually blocking them and it isn't happening again, so I'll leave that way. -- D. Cello 14:15, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Ah I see... I didn't see the block log earlier. But why 3 days? They should've been banned for a year >:D *evil laugh* mwahahahahaha....! okae I'm just kidding... - SilverSummonerTaLk 14:23, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

We have to be fair, Silver. And, you know, give them a chance to prove they're not complete morons. Tha kind of things. -- D. Cello 14:29, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

But the fact that they've vandalized the articles which our editors wrote after googling for hours have proved that they're complete morons... Well... fair enough, I guess. Everyone deserves second chance~ - SilverSummonerTaLk 14:51, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Attagirl. =] -- D. Cello 14:56, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Also you can't actually ban people from a wiki. Closest thing is blocking them for like a thousand years or something of the like. Personally I don't think something like that is ever necessary. A good medium sized block tends to get the point across well enough. Piratehunter (TalkContribsLogs) 06:33, December 15, 2009 (UTC)

Confused

What is the importance of the "Assassins" Symbols you are putting on alot of the pages?

If you click on them, you be taken to a page which explains it in details, but I'll save you the work. ;D
The Silver ones denote Good articles, articles that have a good text, formating and number/quality of pictures.
The Gold ones (which there are none yet), denote Featured Articles, articles that represent the best quality and level of this wiki. They usually have a lot of good pictures , are well-writen, filled with crucial information and without unnecessary details, and impecabble formatting. Get it? -- D. Cello 23:31, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, i got it now. Good idea too. J.h.jaraub 23:34, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Missing pages

What's with all the missing pages? Articles on the four types of guards other than Brutes, several secret locations, a few important people, missions/memories, and places all need articles, but no one is making them. Could u talk to some of the editors and see if they can't get some people to start making articles? EEA 05:27, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

EEA 05:27, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
It's not just some people, we need reliable sources, people who actually played the game. If you know anything about any of the articles who are "missing", create the page yourself, input the info you know, insert this {{stub}} on the top of the page and we'll make sure it gets improved.
The wiki is going through a improvement phase, we're creating standards and updating the existing articles to match with that, but the holidays and other year's-end-stuff are making it somewhat difficult.
You're up to help writing these articles? -- D. Cello 05:58, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

RE: Talkheader

Thanks. As I'm sure you read, I've got alot in store for this wiki, and oh yes will it ever shine... ;P. Im currently getting ready to give this wiki its own Welcoming Template, just gotta work out a couple of kinks. Check it out when you get the chance. Oh, and I can't help but ask, your pic looks very similar to the Star Forge? Piratehunter (TalkContribsLogs) 06:10, December 15, 2009 (UTC)

Welcome?

I've added a new template for use in welcoming new users. check it out and tell me what you think! If you like it, I'll go ahead and replace the current welcoming template with it. I'll post it below. ;D Piratehunter (TalkContribsLogs) 06:27, December 15, 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Assassin's Creed Wiki!

Welcome

D. Cello, welcome!

Hello and let me be the first to welcome you to Assassin's Creed Wiki, the fan-based Assassin's Creed resource. I hope you like the place and choose to join us in our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Assassin's Creed Wiki member! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and Discussion pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. Happy editing! — Piratehunter (TalkContribsLogs) 06:27, December 15, 2009 (UTC)

unregistered users

Hi i'm new here, but i took a lot of time to find out tons of information regarding the Pieces of Eden, their locations, possibly what it is that lies there, i don't mind it when someone gives me a spellcheck or friendly advice, but what i can't stand is when someone who knows nothing decides to edit in their own information that has no basis on evidence. For example, an unregistered user keeps editing the Location of the Artifacts list to read that there is a piece located in Rio de Janiro, when clearly on the Codex map, there is no such piece near Rio coinciding with any other real world map. Also this same user thought all my information on what could be there was tedious and decided to delete it. What i'm saying you should do as the administrator is make it so that people Have to register before they can edit this wiki. It's the same for the Marvel Comics Wiki, and makes it so other users can see who edited what and can point out to others why that is so if they have a disagreement about it.(Kakazu21 02:52, December 17, 2009 (UTC))

I've seen quite a activity over there, but as it wasn't vandalism, I've let it be. This wiki is not as big as Marvel, and many grammar and minor fixes are made by unregistered users, probable readers who take their time to correct something. What I'm saying you should do as a user is contact that specific contributor on his IP talk-page and try to friendly settle this. If that doesn't work, I'll protect the page, but about blocking the whole wiki to registered, let we first achieve a better status and then I'll think about it.
I'm here if you need it. Good luck with your dispute. -- D. Cello 03:59, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

Star Wars

Hey, i'll tell you i'm the biggest star wars you'll ever meet. lol. exect maybe if you meet Lucas. lol Piratehunter (TalkContribsLogs) 23:27, December 17, 2009 (UTC)

By the previous picture I would say you're a Mandielover, right? XD -- D. Cello 23:30, December 17, 2009 (UTC)
Yep. lol. And as you may can tell from my sig i'm a sith lord all the way, (that is unless you include my fanon, wich revolutionizes the Force). I'm a 21 year old english teacher and QM student, with about enough fanon to make 3-4 movies to come after return of the jedi. I'll have to tell ya bout it sometime. Its awesome, you'll love it, and its extremely well put together. lol Piratehunter (TalkContribsLogs) 00:01, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
If it's better than Karis Traviss, then it must be good. =P -- D. Cello 00:05, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

Oh, my friend, it is very good. I've give ya a few details. It revolves solely around one man, Cassus Cyrellias. After the fall of the Galactic Empire, he basically over the course of many decades, amasses a massive military force that he solely commands. In the process, discovering the "True Force", which, to put it briefly is neither light or dark, but in a matter of speaking, grey. He discovers that, to remain in between, one can amass power beyond imagining, near endless power, more so than the jedi or sith could ever achieve due to them each being on the end of the balance. He's declared Mandalore later on, and replaces his entire armada with them. And... Kreia isn't dead. The major conflict in the story is between Cassus and Kreia, Because she tried to manipulate him the same way she manipulated the Jedi Exile. And his ship, hah, I wish i good take my mental picture of out and put it on paper exactly. Its great. Piratehunter(TalkContribsLogs) 00:28, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

Re: Improv Team

Hey man, I think the concept of an improv team sounds like a great idea. I don't know what exactly I am suppose to be answering or what I'm suppose to be helping with... but, just let me know and I'll help you out as I can. I might suggest just creating a topic in the forum to work on this. Keep an ongoing conversation about what articles are being improved. - 99.178.226.104 01:47, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to ask, but... Who are you?? oO -- D. Cello 01:48, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
Yea, It's me Wagnike2. I wasn't logged in for whatever reason and I just realized it. I was using a different computer and then that came up. Sorry about that. - Wagnike2 01:54, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, that kind of freaked me out... XD
All right then, I'll start pulling them together. =D -- D. Cello 01:57, December 23, 2009 (UTC)

Right on, cool beans. Good luck man! - Wagnike2 02:19, December 23, 2009 (UTC)
I have to say that I really like what you are doing with the ImprovTeam concept. It's really cool. As far as using the Wikia Gaming IRC, it's really easy. It's open 24/7.. and all you have to do is click on the Wikia Gaming IRC button under the Help Pages and then just sign in with your username. Well really you can use any name you want, but to keep it more organized for your purposes user names would be the best way to go about it. Also, another trivial thing that I think might make a difference is creating some kind of graphic/image that the ImprovTeam members can display on their user pages, so people know about them and kind of to boast a bit. This might motivate your team some more. Maybe create an Istruttori logo? Just an idea I had. - Wagnike2 17:37, December 24, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, Nic. ;D
I've created along with the group the following template-header (what so far is the best I know how-to regarding tags =P) for display on their pages:

I trust it was something like that you're talking about? -- D. Cello 18:03, December 24, 2009 (UTC)

Yep, pretty much exactly what I was thinking about. Good job. - 99.178.226.104 20:02, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
  • That was me again, I don't know why I've been having log-in issues lately. - Wagnike2 20:04, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
  • I tried looking into the forum issue and I can't find any topic that is missing. It must've been some weird problem with the Wikia cache where it didn't show him adding the topic. It's happened to me a few times and I realize that it's super annoying, but he is probably just best off recreating the topic. - 15:34, December 25, 2009 (UTC)
  • Ah, I was just about to ask someone about your forum issues when I noticed that you fixed it. Good job! How'd you go about doing it, if I may ask? I'm always curious to find out more about Wikia. - Wagnike2 18:04, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I just added {{Forumheader|Istruttorium}} and [[Category:istruttorium]] at the top and bottom of each page XD -- D. Cello 18:20, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
  • I think that giving them rollback rights is a nice little motivation to give to them. Go ahead. - Wagnike2 16:25, January 8, 2010 (UTC)

Plot

Okay then. You want me to delete the articles that have them too? Still, you don't have anything that explains the overall plot of the Assassin's Creed Universe. Master Sima Yi 20:38, December 24, 2009 (UTC)

No need. I've already unmade the category changes you've done.
  • Everything* that happens anywhere is related to Assassin's plot. You would have to add all articles to that category. We have articles with AC1, AC2, AC:Chronicles, AC:Lineage and AC:Bloodlines stories already. We've had quite a few problems with category adding in the past, so I really have to be strict with this, sorry. -- D. Cello 20:51, December 24, 2009 (UTC)

Site Notice

You can simply use the MediaWiki:SiteNotice (or maybe site-notice or siteNotice) to put the announcement instead ^^ Oh I'm back btw~! :D merry Christmas, cap'n! - SilverSummonerTaLk 16:14, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Welcome back, Commander. How was your holiday? -- D. Cello 16:31, December 26, 2009 (UTC)
I think I have tanned skin now... it'll be normal again in 2 weeks or so I think. :D So, did I miss anything, cap'n? - SilverSummonerTaLk 16:33, December 26, 2009 (UTC)
Well, you missed me by 2 weeks, sweetheart. XD
The Animus is the first FA! And Altaïr's is bound to be the second.
Also, we now have a group of users tasked with monitoring and maintaining quality of GA and FA's. And that's pretty much it, I think. -- D. Cello 16:54, December 26, 2009 (UTC)
That's right. Been missing you too, cap'n~! XD
I just saw the FA. Woo-hoo~! :D and Istruttori sounds cool... O.o with this team along, hopefully all that crappy articles will be revamped soon XD
Ah I should go back to the categorizing stuff.. XD - SilverSummonerTaLk 17:02, December 26, 2009 (UTC)
  • Did you try the things on here? this site. I know that you said the MediaWiki welcome didn't use, but did you just change the welcome for logged in users or what? Because if you were logged in maybe you didn't see the change. - Wagnike2 18:22, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

Animus changes

  • Hi there D. Cello. I noticed that you reverted my edit of the article Animus on the grounds that, as a featured article, it should not be edited, only improved… personally, I was under the impression that that was what I was doing, and I do believe I made the article better for it. So really, my question is, why did you revert the edit? I joined you Istruttori group to edit an improve articles, but having the edits reverted kinda defeats the point, don't you think? User:Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 13:34, December 28, 2009 (UTC)
I reverted cause your changes were made over other people edits that disfigured the article. We had a previous setup, with pictures and a formatting. 1 week later, bang! More pictures, bad formatting, a small article with a lot of misplaced pictures. Your edits really improved, don't get me wrong, but the article was totally different from the one that became a featured in the first place. Now, with the istruttori, instead of me reverting all the changes, you can go back and edit it or demote his status completely if you're working on it. That page is now protected, which means only proved registered users can edit it, so no more anonymous changes. If you don't mind, work on it again. I'll not revert all your edits this time.
But it's a featured article, if you're gonna "work on it" on long-term, maybe you could use a sandbox.
The deal wasn't with your changes, Jasca. Don't worry. ;D -- D. Cello 14:53, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

Delete

Why? Because those characters do not appear/are mentioned in the Assassin's Creed games, and the characters don't link to the plot of the game universe. Master Sima Yi 18:14, December 29, 2009 (UTC)

Okay, kid. That's a good reason. -- D. Cello 19:28, December 29, 2009 (UTC)

Maria Auditore da Firenze move

Hi there Cello, I'm not sure if you noticed but somebody moved the article Maria Auditore da Firenze to "Maria de' Mozzi", upon the reasoning that it is her maiden name. Normally, I would have just gone and changed it back but as it would lose the edit history, and your the only administrator here, I'm asking if you can do it. Just to clarify my reasoning, it seems quite illogical for an article to call someone by a name they had legally given up, even more so when they're married someone with their current surname and the "de' Mozzi" name isn't mentioned at all in the game (albeit a minor one in the database). I would appreciate it if you could thus redirect the article, thank you. User:Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 02:39, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

I support the idea. I was quite concerned about this myself.--PhantomT1412 15:31, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

Help

How do you add sections? Like Trivia or past/childhood?

Simply type == <the name of the section> == FOr example: == Trivia ==. Hope this helps ^^ - SilverSummonerTaLk 01:12, January 2, 2010 (UTC)

House of Auditore

Please, could you move The House of Auditore to House of Auditore. As you can see, there is already an article. The creator of the article referred to the residence of the Auditore family but this is quite inapropriated, and it would be better to rename it Palazzo Auditore (if its creation is needed). But House of Auditore is only appropriated for the article about the noble family of Auditore like all the articles about noble family in Wikipedia are named.--PhantomT1412 15:31, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

And also, could you please move back Maria to Maria Thorpe? thanks in advance~ - SilverSummonerTaLk 02:05, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Bureaucrat

Well, I don't have the power to directly hook you up with bureaucrat access. But, I talked to someone above me and they went ahead and gave you bureaucrat access. Congrats! - Wagnike2 22:10, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

Where are all the paintings? well they're coming!

im currently in the process of individually screen capturing each purchasable painting, but i dont know if it will be a good idea to upload them all at once, have any ideas? --Lamarr23 18:19, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Err... what? oO -- D. Cello 18:21, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

ahaha ok, you clearly know that you can buy paintings, im screen capturing all the ones you can buy, so i can create an article on them, do i just upload them all and do it that way, or would there be a better way? --Lamarr23 18:31, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

You could upload it all at once, just remember to categorize all and each one of them lest you leave our other admin crazy XD -- D. Cello 18:32, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

ite sick, also, can i upload music, got the soundtrack by jesper kyd.. or is that a no go cos of copyright?--Lamarr23 18:36, January 10, 2010 (UTC)

Please can I become a member of the Istruttori because my main quality is excellent historical knowlege which is why I would be an invalueable member of the team.Andrew nicholson 17:52, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for adding my name to the watch list D. Cello, I'm awesome with history and very reliable I won't let you down.Andrew nicholson 18:32, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

Page Creation

"Assassin Seals", "Seals", "Assassin's Seals", "Assassins Seal", what is it? It's those seal things Ezio collects to unlock Altair's Armor. I plan to make a page about it. Also, about the individual Merchants (Doctors, Blacksmiths, Tailors, Art Merchants, Prop Merchants), do I make pages for them too? (I think I'm beginning my busy period, that's why I can't finish my pages...again with the multiple stub-making.) --Silver Mage Ω 12:46, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

If I understand... Ye, you could create a Assassin's Seal page, and a Doctors Page. But I think that the other, more commom merchants (who involve trading money per products) could be put under the AC1 merchants page. What ideas you've had, specifically? -- D. Cello 16:35, January 12, 2010 (UTC)
Each merchant would have a list of goods/services to offer via tables. I could also go on as to detail briefly what their merchandise do. (e.g. Doctors would have "Heal" and "Apothecary" plus their early appearance in the game and how they act when there is a nearby conflict.) --Silver Mage Ω 08:03, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

Okaay, if you have content enough for each merchant to have its own article, green light! =] -- D. Cello 14:28, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

hey on the homepage i there is only the assassins creed and assassins creed II game cover images as links, dont you think alty's chronicles and bloodlines should be in aswell? i got images that will fit in with the others, but im not to goo with al the code yet so i was thinking someone in admin could do it if you think its a good idea..

Animus edit

Hi D.Cello. I noticed you immediately reverted my edit to the Animus article with no explanation whatsoever, and was curious as to why. The picture I choose for the lead is clearly much better, and I cannot understand why you do not feel the same. User:Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 22:59, January 14, 2010 (UTC)

WIKI LAYOUT

hey just wondering, the layout for the homepage and the menu bar on the side have all been change like hom and random page have been taken away... is that comoing back or?? just wondering.. cos its rather inconvenient..ahaha--Lamarr23 14:46, January 16, 2010 (UTC)

Random Page is Special:Random, I've "conveniently" put a link on my userpage for it. As for "hom"...? --Silver Mage Ω 13:22, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
I think he means "home". Since you can go to the homepage simply by clicking the wiki logo, so the link to homepage is removed~ I think that's what our b'crat thinks~ - SilverSummonerTaLk 14:18, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Stub, Delete and WP-Real, in that order, must always be on top. The others don't have an specific arrangment, do it as you like. =] -- D. Cello 16:20, January 19, 2010 (UTC)

Re:Licensing

I looked into it, and it's unfortunately something that can't be changed. Sorry about that. - Wagnike2 17:27, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

  • I checked back into this, and then I came across this page: [2]. I think if you follow the steps in the creating new tags category you should be ok, if not I can continue trying to look into it. Or perhaps the guys from Wookipedia or Halopedia would be willing to divulge that information. Either way, keep me in the know. I'm curious to this too. - Wagnike2 01:37, January 21, 2010 (UTC)
edit conflict: I believe it can be configured at MediaWiki:Licenses. Take a look at this. But may I know what kind of licenses that you want to add? O.o - SilverSummonerTaLk 01:39, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Fantastico, sweetheart. Thank you. XD -- D. Cello 02:32, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

AC Page

Added a few sections, expanded everything, reordered the sections, and added images. Can I take the two revamp messages down? I assumed I should check with you first. -- Reqυiem 03:05, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Great job. Ok, take it off, but leave the one for pictures. ;D -- D. Cello 03:10, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Eras

Alrighty, bulk of the code and templates are up and ready to go. The eras aren't appearing yet, so I'm not sure if the MediaWiki code needs altering or if I have to refresh my browser. I'll try doing that first and if not, we'll have to get that sorted out first. Let me know if you want the icons tweaking in any way! I don't mind redoing an or even all of them until we get something you feel fits the Wiki's style. --Faded-Myth Discuss My Workload 04:24, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

There, needed a little tweak in the code. Okay, the icons look good. The only things I would add are the Fetured and Good icons (we already have them, jsut need them added to the era template, and by the way, when they are added to an article it should automatically be included in the Featured Article Category) and the real Eras (renaissance, modern) icons. Other than that, looks fantastic. Congrats! =] -- D. Cello 04:35, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, that bringed some troubles. I've tried replacing the whole code and it worked, but some issues appeared. I have to find a way to insert the era code only, but I first need to know exactly what is needed. I never can find anything on the Help, damn x.x -- D. Cello 04:58, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

The code I gave you on the Main Page talk should be all you need I think. Try inserting it underneath the "Collapsable buttons" section, see if that works. I'd do it myself but it' s an Admin-only thing. Faded-Myth Discuss My Workload 05:07, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

I've done it. Twice. Didn't work.

Adding AC and ACII icons is kinda messy. They're too similar to the Featured one. And would you mind making the Featured and Good with these ones? [3] and [4] -- D. Cello 05:11, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

I don't find them messy myself, particularly since the Featured icon will only be on a few articles. But I can tweak the Featured one to be more distinct. I'll create separate, disimilar icons for that and Good articles.

Also, I think I might know a solution. In addition to the other code, there's another single line of code which needs to be added above the line of ///////////, (which says "ADVANCED AUTMATICALLY REFRESHING etc etc" below). This line of code is:

showEras('title-linktabs');

I think that should do it. Here's a screen shot for clarification. Faded-Myth Discuss My Workload 05:27, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I see you and Silver could do it. Can you make three new icons for the respective time periods, Medieval, Reanissance and Modern TImes? -- D. Cello 14:46, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

You got it. I'm at work so I'll take care of it when I get home. Sorry for reverting your edit to Ezio's page by the way. I just think it's imperrative that each character or subject have the Era for the game they appear in. It's one of the biggest reasons for Eras, because it takes the reader to that games Category where they can find related subjects. --Faded-Myth Discuss My Workload 14:50, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Allright, will pass. I've tried changing your featured icon icon for our current one, but I don't know how XD -- D. Cello 14:52, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Haha, it's alright, I can work my magic on it later. ;) --Faded-Myth Discuss My Workload 14:54, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

"No Image" Image

Have you considered using one for the wiki? It helps, in my opinion, to keep infoboxes looking clean since there's the lack of the upload links and texts. I created one for now and put in Subject 16's infobox. Let me know if you approve or if we should nix it. ---Reqυiem 01:51, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

It's a little too big, if I might say~ - SilverSummonerTaLk 02:48, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I resized it and uploaded it again but for whatever reason the larger version keeps appearing. Perhaps if one of you deleted it and reuploaded it? -- Reqυiem 03:17, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Done. It doesn't change, though. Perhaps we should wait for wiki-refresh. - SilverSummonerTaLk 03:26, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Great idea, Requiem. Nice picture too. We can leave that permanently. -- D. Cello 03:49, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

Youmay

Do we have a template like this:

This article is about {{{1}}}. You may be looking for {{{2}}}.

For use in pages already integrated into most wiki pages but also have a counterpart (e.g. Kadar) --Silver Mage Ω 14:50, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

No, we don't. Go ahead and implement it if you have not yet done so. =]
Tamir page also could use that template. -- D. Cello 15:57, January 23, 2010 (UTC)

AC

Hey, I don't know if you saw the reply to your original inquiry on my Talk page, but I've updated the AC page quite a bit and if there's anything else that needs to be done, let me know. As I mentioned in my reply, I'm in the middle of moving to another apartment and will be finishing up tomorrow, at which point my schedule should settle and I'll be able to edit even more. --- Reqυiem 00:03, January 30, 2010 (UTC)

Kadar

Could you also move Kadar Al-Sayf to Kadar A-Sayf? They also moved it to the wrong name. -- Master Sima Yi 18:33, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

Done. I forgot they were brothers x.x -- D. Cello 21:50, February 3, 2010 (UTC)

Reply to your message about my AC3 edit.

You're welcome for the edit. Before I created an account, I had randomly made edits to articles I read. I did want to communicate with the community and have people track me down incase they wished to addressed anything. Thanks for linking me to the sign up page, as well and indirectly suggesting to sign up.

Mario's page

I'll get to work on it. :D This is the first Wiki I've ever actively edited, so I'm still learning how to do things around here. I hope to be a major contributer. AC means a lot to me. :D AgentValentine 05:09, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

PS. Yes, it's a reference to Jill Valentine, lol.

Yeah sorry about that, I didn't actually mean to add status to any of them, I was just copying and pasting some of the code from other articles so I could add pictures to the ones missing them. I wasn't aware of what some of the code meant, until I paid more attention to it and attempted to un-add the status on the articles. I guess I must've missed some. But thanks for the heads up.

POE

I'm working on heavily revamping the Piece of Eden page, I'm going through section by section and doing it over at my Sandbox. Take a look when you get the chance and let me know how you think it's coming along, either on my Talk, here, or in the discussion section on the Sandbox. Thanks! -- Reqυiem 21:20, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

Completed the first four sections, revamped and rewrote a lot about the history, abilities, characteristics, and resistance abilities. Also, as you said, I tried my best to clean up the listing of the confirmed and possible artifacts. Should I continue working in the Sandbox or do you think I should copy and paste over what I've done so far? Also, the information about the location of the other temples should be (in my opinion) on a separate page as the actual temples have little relevance to the Pieces of Eden. Let me know. -- Reqυiem 02:44, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Lines 4 Userboxes.

what kinda lines? like slashes or dashes?

Like "press enter and hit preview until the boxes are stacked" kind of line. And remeber to always sign your posts with ~~~~ -- D. Cello 04:31, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

i dunno how the hell that works i just tried it. ~~~~

Just 4 tildes, without the nowiki thing. And since I haven't added the instructions on how to do add the userboxes and feeling somewhat generous this exact minute, I've changed your userpage for you, but it was one-time thing. If you have any questions, any questions about anything, don't be afraid to ask. -- D. Cello 04:47, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, take a peek at Mario's page and see what you think--I did a lot of work on it last night. Let me know what else I need to do to get it up to good or featured, and once it's there, I'll start work on Lorenzo de' Medici. I also have a Userbox request for you, if you're up for it. X3 AgentValentine 12:32, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

I'd like a userbox that reads "This user is a loyal servant to the Medici Family" or something similar. :3 AgentValentine 18:01, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

I love it! Thanks so much! :D AgentValentine 19:49, February 10, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah. I chose it for it's literal meaning though, "Loyal." =p It goes into my fan character, Ettore Bianca, but that's another story for another day. >_> AgentValentine 17:54, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

What made me come across that way?

Your big letter titles on your talk page and your thanks comment here that could have been ironic. We never know what the person behind the other monitor is thinking, you know... But it's okay, you say you're not pissed, you're not pissed. -- D. Cello 03:45, February 13, 2010 (UTC)

spellchecking in links

I'm sorry, I'm a bit lost here. You said I couldn't spellcheck on links. So I had to check out the piece of eden page for my mistake... So... What was I suppose to find. The most recent and most spellchecking I have done is alter Altaïr's name from Altair to Altaïr, which shouldn't effect the link. So if you could please enlighten me what I did wrong, so I won't repeat this mistake.

If I recall I only corrected Altaïr's name on that page, and changing it from i to ï, does not effect the link. I don't recall changing any filenames. But I could be mistaken, however there is no reason to get so angry. We can fix this as adults. All right, I just had the impression that you were from what you last wrote. Misunderstanding. And I'm not denying I didn't do the change of file. Must have been a mistake. I'll be more careful next time.

How long should the voting be up, or till how many votes? O.o Spoonodeath 18:04, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

Only staff members can end the vote and add status to a page. And the duration is until all the Istruttori votes are accounted. -- D. Cello 03:13, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Hey darlin', I cleaned up the Romantic Life section of his page for you. I'm not sure if that's enough to get it to featured, but let me know if there's any other bits you want fixed up. I've got big plans for a few different pages this week. ;D AgentValentine 06:13, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Reeeally helped, sweetheart. =] But the pictures at romantic section look kinda of distorted to me, size and position.. maybe you can see a better arrangment for them, even remove some.. could you that for me? ;D -- D. Cello 01:53, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

KK thanks to both of you! (im gona fight for this) <(") (<---- that was a penguin!) (")> Spoonodeath 14:49, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

I fixed all Red links in Ezio's page, im not sure which sections are rough, so if you could point them out i would be happy to oblige! ^_^ Spoonodeath 23:23, February 16, 2010 (UTC)

Gahhhh! why isnt it featured yet? its been like what two months, has everyone that needs to vote voted? If not could you cheer them on? Spoonodeath 22:06, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

There 2 negatorial istruttori/staff votes against one approving. We need all the Istruttori to vote before closing. -- D. Cello 22:28, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Robert De Sable & Maria

I saw you removed the information on the relationship between Robert & Maria, though no summary was given why. The information was based on official sources such as the strategy guide and of course the games themselves, so I'm just curious why it was removed.

Yeah, I forgot the summary, sry about that x.x
One, that was full of assumptions, what isn't allowed since this is a encyclopedia, and two, we're having a discussion going to establish if she was his student or not on her talkpage, so you can update it when we arrive at a consensus. =] -- D. Cello 16:52, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Well it wasn't based on assumptions as said above. Maria is referred to as his steward in the strategy guide. But I'll respect your word and wait. I assume you are familiar with the information on her in the strategy guide or is that information considered to be non-canon? Altaïr 16:59, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

If it is the official strategy guide I have in mind, the same that published Fallout's, Force Unleashed's and etc, I think we can consider it canon, since it passed approval by Ubisoft and such. And sorry if it wasn't assumption, but anyway, we're getting closer to the truth now,. -- D. Cello 17:04, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Well it's also what I added for Maria's page in 'early life', so if you want to remove that as well for the time beign... It's also based fully on the strategy guide of course. I wouldn't post anything purely on assumption and if would be an assumption, then I would only base that on already established facts, not making any lose assumptions myself of course Altaïr 17:08, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

No need, just update it when we're done. -- D. Cello 17:13, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

One last question, where is the discussion concerning Maria and Robert. I couldn't find it on Robert's discussion page, neither on Maria's. So if you could give me a link, I could try to help the Wiki out with providing information I found myself. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience. In Maria Thorpe's discussion page oO
You posted theren can't remember? XD
Don't worry, no incovenience at all. Any questions or issues, just contact me. Ah, and remember to sign your psots, four tildes. =] -- D. Cello 17:21, February 19, 2010 (UTC) Indeed I did, but I thought you spoke of a much older discussion than that. Anyway I'll see what I can provide. Altaïr 17:24, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Yo

I don't know if you are the lead admin, (I don't wanna spend that much time here no offince) but I think you should add this is also on the iphone/Itouch, very much like the DS.-- 22:52, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry... what?? oO -- D. Cello 23:04, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Saracens article

Hi, I'm not a regular user on this wiki, but I stumbled upon the Saracens article and seeing that you are an admin, I just thought I would inform you 02:47, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

Holy cow, I hadn't saw that oO
Tks very much, already fixed the page. ;D
And why aren't you a regular? C'mon, join us! -- D. Cello 02:51, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

I would love to. I'm actually a regular on the Dragon Ball wiki, the only reason I visisted this wiki is b/c I just picked up Assassin's Creed. Let me tell you, it is one of the best games I've ever played. I can't wait to get my hands on Assassin's Creed II 19:11, February 20, 2010 (UTC) Sorry for butting in but I'm just curious what this is about? -- Altaïr 02:51, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, I found that the Saracens article was all messed up, so I contacted this guy, and now he has talked me into becoming a regular on this wiki :D Only problem is, I might not be as regular since I do most of my editing on the Dragon Ball wiki 19:20, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, thx for the info! Fan of DBZ myself, though these days more of Assassin's Creed. Hope the third one is gonna be better. But most of all I'm hoping for a spin-off game with Altaïr on the big consoles, rather than for the psp or DS -- Altaïr 02:51, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

It's always nice to meet a DBZ fan :D Who is your favorite character in DBZ? Also, the DS spin-offs had somehow proved to be decent and satisfying, much like the Legend of Zelda games on the DS. Personally, if I were to comapre Altair and Ezio, I'd probably say I like Ezio better, though Altair had a much better voice actor 05:38, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Sign your posts with fourtildes. -- D. Cello 05:39, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

My favourite character is Gohan. And yeah the spin-offs were decents, but they weren't as good as the phantom hourglass or spirit tracks. And I certainly prefer Altaïr above Ezio. Anyway I don't think we should use D.Cello's page as our personal chatbox, so if you wanna talk just visit my profile or something. -- Altaïr 05:39, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Greeeat idea. -- D. Cello 16:19, February 21, 2010 (UTC)

Was gonna suggest it too 01:32, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

Istruttori Nominations

I nominate the user Altaïr to be an Istruttore. He is a great contributor and I checked his user page and was surprised that he was just a regular user and not a part of the staff for the site. -Rixmeister (21:08) EST

Hi there. Good, but the nomination must be refered by a Istruttori, which I'm not. Please contact one of the Istruttorium members and ask if he/she can nominate him and I'll get the process moving. Is the first nom, have to keep things formal here ;D -- D. Cello 02:18, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

Oh yeah, sorry about that, I don't know what I was thinking :). I'll ask Phantom or somebody. -Rixmeister (21:39) EST

Proposed attribution policy

Hello there D. Cello, I recently took the time to create a Watercooler forum post detailing my proposed attribution policy, which I hope the wiki will be willing to adopt by this time next week. If you could be so kind as to look over the policy and cast your vote (or comment on any changes) you can do so by following this link; Forum:Sourcing articles. Also, would you kindly pass on this post too as many users as possible, so that the vote might represent the true number of contributors to the wiki. Thank you. User:Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 15:34, February 22, 2010 (UTC)

BTW D. Cello, any chance you could put a link to the sourcing proposal up on the sitenotice for me? It looks to me like most contributors aren't even aware this is going on; that would help. Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 19:00, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

Done. -- D. Cello 19:23, February 23, 2010 (UTC)

  • Well, only a few people seemed to be interested, but the attribution policy has gone through. I'm a little busy today, but I should be able to tidy up the policy and get it in working order my tomorrow evening. Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:24, March 2, 2010 (UTC)

I've typed up the new attribution policy now, you can find it here. There are a few minor edits I still have to make, when I can remember exactly what it is I wanted to change, but the current will more than adequately cover all bases methinks. MediaWiki:Description

Hi D. Cello. I noticed that the Assassin's Creed Wiki didn't have a customized MediaWiki:Description, which provides metadata information, so I just edited it. Feel free to tweak it as you see fit. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 18:28, March 18, 2010 (UTC)

Nominating articles

Am I allowed to nominate an article, or only admins and Isstrutori are allowed? PassiveNeoluna 22:53, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Anyone is allowed, just follow the previous layout and format of the nominations before yours. -- D. Cello 23:01, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

I added a tag of nominating the Malik page, am I to add a voting bar in the nominnation page or wait until the Ezio article is decided on? PassiveNeoluna 23:43, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Add it below Ezio's. -- D. Cello 23:45, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

I am seeing all of these articles saying they are being nomonated but they arent!?! Whats up with that? And is Ezio eva gonna get the fame he deserves? Find out next time on.... *enter cool soap opera name here* =D Spoonodeath 20:14, March 23, 2010 (UTC) Ezio deserves, but his article doesn't. Sorry.
About the assassination targets, read this, maybe join in, and you'll understand it ;D -- D. Cello 23:55, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

AHHHHH ok now it all makes sense, only problem is that last time i tried to join that group i screwed up the page, u mind entering my name in for me so i dont do it again? *sacking head on wall* Spoonodeath 00:44, March 24, 2010 (UTC)

Lead Ezio quote

So as to prevent an edit war over a quote, I'll post ym reasoning for it here. The reason I chose that quote to lead the article is, not only because it shows he's an Auditore, but it shows the entire reasoning for his quest of vengance. It also shows that, despite the attempts of Brogia, the Auditore were not wiped out, and it is for that reason I feel it should remain the lead quote. Besides, the one you've put up isn't even in English, and has more to do with the Order of Assassins then Ezio himself. Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 23:04, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

I didn't put it, it was the first lead quote inserted into the page.
About the content of the quote, that one already is present inside the article, and it don't say much about the character once we remove the context. At least the "Nothing is true" one refers to the code which he and the other assassins live by, rather than something arbitrary. In a game that big, I'm sure we can find another quote besides those 2 that serve the purpose of representing the character in a oneliner. -- D. Cello 00:21, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

Targets Project

I think we should add the 10 targets you have to kill in bonfire of the vanities to the list. Just tell me y or n. o.O Spoonodeath 01:37, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, you can add all targets from all the games.
By the way, Spoon. Ezio page is being heavily edited, so when it's more stable, we'll make it featured. =] -- D. Cello 01:41, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

YAYZ!!! oh wait i think i just got rid of the nom for featured template *banging head on wall repetedly* "sigh" Spoonodeath 01:46, March 30, 2010 (UTC) And keep it that way, That page can become stable tomorrow or a year from now. -- D. Cello 01:47, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

Revamping articles

A lot of articles need revamping, but from what I read in the manual style I'm still not sure what I'm meant to do. Could you elaborate on this? PassiveNeoluna 22:21, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Revamp usually means the overall structure of an article. Characters pages that don't have Biography sections idvided by games, etc. What exactly are your doubts? -- D. Cello 22:23, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Well I mostly focus on the grammar and content of character articles like Desmond, Lucy and of course Maria. My doubt is that my style of writing is affecting the quality of the articles since the layouts follow the manual closely. PassiveNeoluna 23:05, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

If your revamp changes the article to stay in tune with the MoS parameters, then there's nothing wrong about it. Just remember to keep personal oppinions and assumptions out. But so far, your writing seems great. -- D. Cello 23:42, April 5, 2010 (UTC)

Okay then one more thing, what is exacly wrong with the good featured articles of characters with the revamp tags? Like say Desmond and you mentioned the Maria article being crumpled. Should the good status be revoked for the latter one then? PassiveNeoluna 00:21, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

No way, rekotion involves voting process and overall downfall of article quality. -- D. Cello 00:29, April 6, 2010 (UTC)

About the Villa page, are you asking me to revert it or rewrite the content or of the sort? PassiveNeoluna 02:29, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry but I'm having trouble understanding the instruction D. Cello, I don't think I could do what you ask. And I'm wondering, am I on your watchlist? PassiveNeoluna 02:47, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

D.Cello, I spoke with Cedric about my revamping attempt for the Auditore villa page and he confirmed it to be well written, do you think the status change for it could be dropped? PassiveNeoluna 22:37, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Independently of being well or poor writen, it doesn't follow the Manual of Style. If that page mantains the "In his adventures, Ezio finds", "renovating the villa is something the player can do" and instances like that, I'll not only remove the status, but the article completely.
It's an article about the place, not about the game. Got it now? -- D. Cello 00:19, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Finally since all this editing is really tiring me. Why did you make me do all of this editing if you knew what was wrong? PassiveNeoluna 03:28, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Cause you were already on it and I had 15 articles of Project Timeline to adjust. Also, it helps you understand better the manual of style so I won't have to explain it again. ;D -- D. Cello 04:15, April 26, 2010 (UTC)

Basilica di San Marco and Sequence 8 Problem

Hi, im new on this Wiki, but not new on Wikis. Can you help me a bit? I am running AC2 on PC and have a problem i am stuck at the beginning of Sequence 8 and can't start the first mission, i restarted did everything nothing happens. Another problem is that when i try tu get Amunet's seal in Basilica di San Marco the puzzle buttons are active, where as they should be activated by twisting the skull on the fake grave. After i complete the puzzle and go down to the real grave i can't open it. Please help i am desperate. I had to start the game all over because of that. But this time i have a spare savegame. --CryGame--

That problem happened a lot with some of the first leaked game versions of ACII. The illegal ones. If your version is original, it probably happen due use of a gamefix or no-cd exe. Try running with the original cd (or downloading another version) and it should work out. -- D. Cello 15:07, April 11, 2010 (UTC)

Father of Understanding

The problem with the Father of Understanding article is that there is nothing in the AC series indicating the Templar Father of Understanding is the same as this other individual. We can't assume they're the same just because they have the same name. Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 12:44, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

But that Father of Understanding isn't the real-world templars' Father of Understanding? Since you removed the portions you should have looked it out, but I've done no research on the subject and can't assure anything. -- D. Cello 13:15, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Redlinks

Hi D. Cello. Please see this forum post by Kirkburn for an explanation. JoePlay<staff /> (talk) 20:10, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

The way you write and the mess it makes is almost vandalism. Keep your posts clean, please. And relevant. -- D. Cello 22:43, April 12, 2010 (UTC)

Oh ok sorry so no asking for an opinion? if its not about AC?

About Altair's skill and equipment

Sorry if I made something wrong with my edit. Can i know why it had to be deleted? All I added was a few details on his skills as well as a description to his weapons. My main editor's profile is in WiCapedia, but you can answer anywhere you like. Regards Soviet SPETSNAZ 02:58, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

"As mentioned earlier", "This sword is not quite top quality, but gets the job done" and similars doesn't match the "encyclopedic way of writing", and since that article is ranked Featured, the edits must be fully compatible. Also, you described all the attacks and moves seen in the game, but it doesn't mean was the only ones he knew. Anyway, those slow, fast strikes and etc is better suited in a gameplay/real-world article about the controls and moves, and not on a character's file.
And about the gameplay pages, we're trying to implement it to separate in-game universe from our player point of view. Stay tuned for info about those pages implementation on the main page. Keep editing. ;D -- D. Cello 17:01, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, thanks D. Cello. So do you mind if I at least put a description of Altair's attire? As it's not completely given detail, and is not gameplay-linked. I'll give you a rundown before I actually put it there to see if you approve of it:

"Altair's attire is quite different from that worn by the other assassin's. He still has a hood with a beak-like design like the others, but his robes are considerably longer, forming a bird-like "tail" whenever he performs a leap of faith or when he stands on a ledge.

His waist belt is also considerably larger than those worn by other assassins because it holds five throwing knives. His waist belt got smaller when he was demoted, thus also removing his throwing knives. There is also a container for throwing knives on his right shoulder and on his left boot. A sheath for his sword can be found attached to his waist belt. His left arm has armor that is bigger than the his right, as it hides his hidden blade. The only other assassin that wears this attire his Malik.

Soviet SPETSNAZ 03:57, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

Well, his different clothing is actually related to his rank, nothing unique. We've been meaning to add it to the rank system, so instead of adding it to Altair's would you mind adding that to the ranks article? -- D. Cello 04:12, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

Auditore Exicutions

do you think we should add Alberti's letters to his wife about why he betrayed the auditore?

If it's pertinent, sure. But keep the article organized and clean. ;D -- D. Cello 19:20, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

kk, now i just need to find them... o.O Spoonodeath 19:21, April 13, 2010 (UTC)

Timeline abbreviations

D.Cello I was thinking, should the timeline abbreviations be changed to BCE and CE instead of BC and AD? PassiveNeoluna 06:51, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

Why? oO -- D. Cello 15:28, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

Well mostly religion neutral reasons and since I thought it's the adapted terms being issued for books now. Or it's best to keep it Before Christ and Anno Domini? PassiveNeoluna 19:22, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

History-wise, the standard is BC/AD, so we shuld keep that. But what BCE and CE stand for? -- D. Cello 19:27, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

They mean Before Common Era (BCE) and Common Era (CE), it some cases the C is refered to Christ or Christian, but Common is the main meaning of it. PassiveNeoluna 22:17, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

WPtimeline

Hi there. I've noticed you've been putting the {{WPtimeline}} template on lots of article. now, I have no problem with that, but might I suggest you put them on the talk page? Its just, it kinda make the top of the article cluttered and unsightly having them above the main text; if they're on the talk page they're not in the way, but still show up under whatever category you've assigned to that template. Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:32, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

The problem is the talk pages aren't nearly as acessed as the articles pages, and that template is all about visibility, really. The only purpose is to warn people of the project's existence and that article's guidelines. I think the best visibility is on the page itself, but if the template is too big, I can reduce it size. -- D. Cello 15:38, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

Anon edit on Ezio quote

Hi there, I don't know if you've noticed, but recently an anon user has been consistently editing the Ezio Auditore article, messing up one of the quotes on the article. I have previously asked the anon to refrain from doing this, explaining what affects his edits were having on the template, but they have since chosen to ignore me and ocntinued to do the same such thing. As one of the admins on this site, I have chosen to leave the next step in your capable hands.

Also, might I recommend you archive your talk page, it's getting quite long and makes loading somewhat trying. Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 14:56, April 30, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, Silver's been saying that to me forever. Maybe it's really time to archive it...
About the anon, he's blocked for 3 days, more info on his talk page. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Ducato. And I know you already have rollback rights, but want to join the moderators group? I remember you already were a Istruttori, but disapeared for some time.
