During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra (or alternatively her brother Alexios) hunted down the mysterious Cult of the Kosmos during her quest to reunite her family, while also fighting on both the Athenian and Spartan side of the Peloponnesian War.

In Ancient Egypt, the medjay Bayek of Siwa sought to hunt down the Order of the Ancients that had killed his son Khemu. Along with his wife Aya, the two formed a creed with some of their friends and allies known as the Hidden Ones that eventually formed into the Assassins of today.

As the Vikings from Norway and Denmark expanded into England, they had been affiliated with the Hidden Ones, who had settled with the Raven Clan. During her travels, the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir eradicated England of the Order of the Ancients alongside both her brother and the Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq. Meanwhile, she also struggled to deal with the voice in her head, the All-Father Odin himself.
