Individual?

We have no evidence that the "Isu Authority in Eden" is a single individual as the term can be used in reference, not only to a group of individuals, but organisations as well. Indeed, the only reference we have to this "Authority"–FoA:JoA's Isu codex–suggests it is an organisation. --Jasca Ducato (talk | contributions) 09:23, July 22, 2019 (UTC)

Acknowledged, I had no idea the use of the word "authority" could refer to an organization as well. I consulted several English dictionaries (Oxford, Cambridge, Merriam-Webster, Collins, etc.) and all of them seem to suggest that the use of the word "authority" isn't put in its plural conjugation if it's presided by a proper noun. I thought "Isu" was a common noun and the word needed to be in the plural (Isu authorities, human authorities, yautja authorities, etc.).

Anyway, I edited the page in order for it to acknowledge this because I still think this (or these) member/s should have its own article. If there's no problem with it in the next three days, I'll proceed to add other edits removed by this change. Cristophorus35 (talk) 22:09, July 30, 2019 (UTC)

If the codex is the only source for the name, the title of the page is inaccurate. Should be "Isu authority in Eden". Vetinari^{(Appointment)} 23:01, August 5, 2019 (UTC)

Possible indirect mention

This is an ongoing discussion.

Might the Isu Authority be a group of unnamed Æsir as the High Council? The Isu codex in The Fate of Atlantis says the Authority was incredibly stringent on Project Anthropos' standards for created humans, and the Authority would be very demanding if they were the same Council who issued the order to begin the Project, per the translated Isu text in Layla's files. While Minerva and Juno have said "we" made humanity, I take it to mean the Isu as a whole. Notes in the memory "A Feast to Remember" say it was done by the vain Æsir alone, who feared the main Isu's reaction even if Phanes later joined them, and especially as the Greek version of the human creation myth does not appear in the series.

As well, the Anomalies in Valhalla have Loki and Alethia discuss how the High Council stripped Juno of her Mother of Wisdom title for betraying the main Isu and aiding Odin. While I'm at a loss to think why some Æsir would punish aiding of one of their own with revoking a main Isu's title, this could align with the Authority's intense animosity for the Sister Realms of Elysium, the Underworld, and Atlantis, all of which were "siblings" to only each other, separate from the Norse Nine Realms, and were ruled by Greek gods. Thus, while they may have approved of the aid, their petty vendetta came first. Any thoughts? Could/should we ask a dev or a writer? – Darman (talk) 01:00, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
