Zhangsun Qi (長孫琦) was a Chinese Hidden One who lived in the early Tang dynasty. She was the niece of Zhangsun Wuji,[1] one of the most influential officials to Emperor Taizong of Tang.[2]

Biography

Since her childhood, Zhangsun Qi had been trained in martial arts by her mentor, the Princess of Gaochang. At the age of 16, she was assigned the critical quest of finding and securing the Tui Bei Tu (推背圖), which was reputedly a powerful Piece of Eden. In the process of accomplishing this mission, she found herself dragged into the centre of a great conspiracy when Zhangsun Wuji attempted to manipulate her into assassinating Empress Wu Zetian.[1]

Behind the scenes

Zhangsun Qi will feature as the main protagonist of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Prophecy of the Emperor, the first novel in The Imperial Jade Seal series. According to its entry on the Ubisoft website, the character is the niece of Zhangsun Wuji.[1] However, a different article published by the Mainland Chinese gaming outlet GamerSky.com, which includes a preview of the novel's first chapter, introduces her as Zhangsun Wuji's granddaughter.[3]
