Yan Gaoqing (顏杲卿; 692 – 756) was a Chinese official who served as grand protector of Changshan Commandery during the Tang dynasty. A native of Linyin, Langya Commandery, he acquired his profession due to the privileges he inherited from his family.[1] He was the cousin of Yan Zhenqing and father of Yan Jiming.[3]

In 756, An Lushan besieged Changshan, captured Yan Jiming, and forced Yan Gaoqing to surrender. Gaoqing refused to give in, which led to his son being beheaded. After the fall of Changshan, Yan Gaoqing was taken to Luoyang and was executed on An Lushan's orders.[2]
