Uplay is a service created by Ubisoft to provide an experience similar to the trophies/achievements offered by Sony and Microsoft respectively. This service is provided across all three platforms (PC, PS3 and Xbox 360) and is currently in beta stage. Seven other Ubisoft games feature Uplay, Splinter Cell: Conviction, R.U.S.E, Pure football, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, The Settlers 7, Silent Hunter 5 and Tom Clancy's Hawx 2.

Each game has 4 achievements that are unlocked as you progress through the story and each earns you Uplay points (The first being 10U to the last being 40U). These points are then used to unlock game related awards.

You can also use the Uplay service called "Assassin's Creed II - Web Battle" to view list of in game statistic and to get additional web-based achievements and rewards.

Trivia

  • If you have more than one file in Assassin's Creed II then you can earn the Uplay Points over again.
  • In the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood demo, it shows that Uplay will be included in the final release of the game.
  • Community Developer Gabriel Graziani has stated that there are not enough Uplay units to be earned in Brotherhood for all of the Uplay rewards available, but that you can also use points from other Uplay-compatible games to unlock things. So, if you've played through AC II several times, you will most likely have more than enough points to receive every reward.
