The tomahawk was a type of axe used by Ratonhnhaké:ton, also known as Connor Kenway, along with other Native Americans, and was most effective when used in close combat.

During the American Revolutionary War, the Mohawk Assassin used a tomahawk with a head resembling the Assassin insignia, which he would often dual-wield alongside another weapon, such as the short blade.
