Thaleia the Talon Hand was a mercenary who operated in Greece during the 5th century BCE.
Thaleia was often called a monster. She bore a spear and shield, and unlike most mercenaries, a legendary sun hat.
During the Peloponnesian War, a bounty contract was placed on Thaleia, which the Spartan misthios Kassandra accepted.[1]
