The Temple of Kybele was a temple dedicated to the Anatolian goddess Kybele, located in a canyon on the Greek island of Lesbos.

Byt the time of the Peloponnesian War, only ruins of the temple remained when it was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who recovered various treasures therein.[1]

Trivia

  • Despite the ruins being dedicated to Kybele, the statue standing in them is that of the Greek goddess Hera.
