Circa 879, as her health deteriorated, Ségdae and Sadhbh, Bárid's wife, went on a pilgrimage to the Pyrenees, hoping the waters there would heal her.[2] When the waters successfully improved her condition, Ségdae and Sadhbh both wrote to Bárid, who they missed greatly, informing him of the miracle.[1][3]
