The Sword of Avaris was a sword originally in possession of a blacksmith who operated in a mine southwest of Kydonia on the Greek island of Krete.
During the Peloponnesian War, after misthios Kassandra helped to bring him some obsidian, the blacksmith gave the sword to her as a reward.[1]
