The Swedish Levant Company was a chartered company operating out of Sweden. The company was founded in 1738 by the Swedish Brotherhood of Assassins, who sought to use it as a cover for their operations.
In 1755 the company was approached by Achilles Davenport, Mentor of the Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins, to commission them to construct the Aquila. Due to a Templar presence at their shipyards, however, the company refused the request. They instead recommended he reach out to the French Assassins.[1]
Trivia
- The Swedish Levant Company was a real-world chartered company set up in 1738 with the aim of organising Swedish trade efforts in the eastern Mediterranean. The company's efforts largely failed.[2]
