Stampis

Stampis was a largely decimated residence southwest of Paris in Melunois, Francia, possibly razed to the ground as a result of the war fought between King Charles of Francia and the Vikings of the Elgring Clan in the late 9th century.

Between 885 and 887, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir explored the house remains and recovered a tungsten ingot from a chest hidden underneath a well.[1]
