Soong Ching-ling

Soong Ching-ling (27 January 1893 – 29 May 1981), better known as Madame Sun,  was the second wife of Sun Yat-sen, one of the leaders of the 1911 Xinhai Revolution which established the Republic of China. Like her late husband and Grand Master, she was too a member of the Shangai Rite of the Templar Order.

In 1927, she hired Zhang Damin, the shady member of a family she had ties with, to steal a box destined to Chiang Kai-shek, wanting to prevent its content from falling into the hands of her husband's successor. Indeed throught her sister, who was married to Chiang, Soong knew that the ambitious man was planning to betray the Templars despite accepting to join them. Zhang tasked his wife, Ruan Lingyu, to steal the box from the young Darius Gift and Soong eventually obtained the box.

However, the Black Cross, who was investigating the theft, discovered her involvement throught her trusted man, Tsai, and came to her house to reclaim the box on behalf of Gift. After warning him that the Templars were unwise to put their trust into Chiang, Soong gave the box to her fellow Templar, revealing that it was in fact empty. It's content, the Templar ring of Grand Master Thaddeus Gift and the symbol of Chiang's ascension to Grand Mastership, having been stolen by Zhang's wife.
