The Seine, also known as the Sequana River after the Gallo-Roman goddess, is a 776-kilometre long river in the north of France. It rises at Source-Seine and flows through Paris and into the English Channel at Le Havre.[1]
On 6 March 1429, an hour after meeting and rudely proposing intercourse with Jeanne d'Arc, the body of Antoine Moreau was found floating in the Seine. Jeanne herself had foretold his demise and suggested he make peace with God.[2]
On 30 May 1431, during the Hundred Years' War, when Jeanne d'Arc's executioner, Geoffroy Thérage, couldn't destroy her Heart, he disposed of it in the Seine.[3] There it remained until Simon Hathaway recovered the Piece of Eden around October 2016.[4]
