The Scottish Flintlock was a firearm model sold in general stores throughout the colonies of British North America during the American Revolution, particularly in the cities of Boston and New York. They were prevalent from at least November 1773, and the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton purchased one for his armory.[1]

Trivia
- In spite of its name, the Scottish Flintlock is actually based on a replica 18th century Russian flintlock pistol.[2] This also calls into question whether the pistol in Assassin's Creed canon is actually Scottish or Russian one. On the other hand, the Pitcairn-Putnam Pistols have the design which was typical for the 18th century Scottish pistols. [citation needed]
- The image of the pistol seen in the shop menus shares the model of the English Flintlock Pistol's. When equipped, it has its own proper model.
