The Scimitar.

The Scimitar was a sword obtainable during the Renaissance, though it could not be purchased in Rome. It could, however, be acquired by disarming a guard while Ezio was equipped with an empty heavy weapon sheath.

History

The Scimitar was an old Middle Eastern sword with a curved blade, mostly used by Arabs in horseback combat due to its light weight and ability to slash enemies with ease.

Trivia

  • Although the scimitar is primarily Middle Eastern, it is introduced in the Italian Renaissance whereas it should have already appeared in Assassins Creed. However, some Saracen guards wield scimitars.
