- "Running in the streets, bumping into people, the target is out of breath. He knows his pursuer is here somewhere, watching him, ready to take away his life. Suddenly, he stops and looks up. There, on the rooftops, the Prowler gazes down, smiling at him. It's already too late.
"
- ―Ubisoft Description
The Prowler (real name: Il Lupo) previously known as The Hunter is a multiplayer character in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood who wields a switchblade. Despite his similarity to the Assassins, the Prowler is, as all other multiplayer characters in Brotherhood, a Templar. Ubisoft states that he will also make an appearance in the single-player mode, along with other multiplayer characters.
Unique Moves
The Neck Breaker:
The Prowler grabs his target from behind and swiftly maneuvers his hands around their neck. He then clutches the chin and neck, roughly pulling the head at a 90 degree angle and breaking the neck bone. The target then falls dead to the ground.
The Plunge of Death:
The Prowler leaps from a rooftop above, onto the target, forcing them to the ground and plunging the blade into their skull. The target dies instantly.
Headache:
The Prowler runs up behind his target and shoves his blade through the back of their head.
Trivia
- A mysterious beige-robed identical character, previously nicknamed the "Caramel Hunter" and the "Female Hunter" has been spotted in several multiplayer images. Once an unknown character, she has now been identified as the Smuggler.
- Plunge of Death, a special move used by both the Prowler and the Noble, is actually an Air Assassination, a move frequently used by the Assassin Order.
- On the back of the Prowler's cape is a Knights Templar cross.
- His name, "Il Lupo," means "The Wolf". It is most likely a reference to La Volpe.
- His first extra color consists of a brown cape instead of his ordinary cape, but yet nothing else of his outfit has changed.
- Do not think Ll Lupo's switchblade is the same as the hidden blade of the assassins. His switchblade is actually two blades that come together from his wrist. Whenever he jumps on someone's back and stab him there is some more examination required. If you see closely, his switchblade comes together to form one at the same which means two blades are slitting his target's neck at the same time.
