Perseus was the legendary founder of Mycenae and the Perseid dynasty who was revered by the Greeks as one of the greatest heroes before Heracles. Was said to have been a son of Zeus, a first civ being.
In Greek legends, one of Perseus's most renowned deeds was in slaying the Gorgon Medusa, whose visage transformed those who beheld it into stone. This he accomplished in combat with a Sword of Eden.[1]
