Perseus was a hero of Ancient Greece. In Greek mythology, he was revered as a hero who was favored by the gods and managed to decapitate the Gorgon, Medusa, whose gaze turned people into stone.
It was said that Perseus was the son of Zeus, (one of Those Who Came Before) and a mortal woman, Danaë, who Zeus impregnated by appearing as a golden shower. Perseus possessed one of the Swords of Eden, though he got it from the great goddess Athena, also a child of Zeus.
