The Palazzo Medici was the palace of the Medici family in the Italian city of Florence.

History

During the Renaissance, the Assassin Ezio Auditore rescued Lorenzo de' Medici from Pazzi soldiers that had captured him inside his own palace after Ezio's assassination of Francesco de' Pazzi. His reward for saving Lorenzo was access to a stash of florins located in a strong box.

Trivia

  • It can be explored in Assassin's Creed II as a Secret Location, after inputting a code that comes with the Black, Master Assassin or Complete Editions. Each code is unique and can only be used once. It can also be downloaded along with the Bonfire of the Vanities.
  • Access to the courtyard and roof is only possible by using the throwing knives glitch from a nearby view point, though no textures exist inside the courtyard. Also, escape is impossible even with the "Climb Leap" technique.
