The Orpheus was a large and infamous British privateer ship that sailed the trade route to the Virgin Islands in the 1770s.
In 1777, the Assassin flagship, the Aquila, captained by Connor and his first mate Robert Faulkner, set out to destroy her and her fleet. On locating the ship, the Aquila confronted the Orpheus and her fleet in the midst of a storm, but was eventually able to destroy it.[1]
