Old Castile is a historic region of Spain, whose origins are in the historic Castile that was formed in the 9th century.

History

During the Spanish Inquisition, the Heredia family owned an estate in the region.[1]

In 1489, after his family was executed by Tomás de Torquemada, the Rhodian knight Horacio de Heredia returned to his estate, which had been claimed by Torquemada's sergeants. The Spanish Assassins travelled to the estate after learning of Horacio's situation and assisted him in eliminating the soldiers.[1]
