The Octopus' Beak was a tavern in 19th-century Tripoli, Libya.
History
In 1805, the Octopus' Beak housed a meeting between Edmund, Ahkbar, Jan van der Graff, and Solomon Bolden, the latter two of whom sought information about secret entrances into Sultan Selim III's palace. Following the meeting, Edmund was recognized as a deserter by a patrol of soldiers outside the tavern and shot dead.[1]
