Oak Island is an island in Lunenburg County on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is noted as the location of the so-called "Money Pit" and the site of over 200 years of treasure hunting.[1]
Kidd's Treasure
Captain Kidd, a Scottish pirate, got hold of the Shard of Eden at some point, a ring-like Piece of Eden that served as a personal shield for the wearer, and later hid it on Oak Island to keep it safe from falling in Templar hands. He also created a map providing clues to the Shard's location, and divided it among four of his former crew members. In 1777 the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton sailed to Oak Island and located the Shard with the help of the maps left by Kidd.[2]
The main landmarks of the island's treasure location included an eagle's nest, a burnt tree, a home of wolves, a strangely shaped rock, the center hiding point of Kidd's treasure. Hidden beneath the hard stone was a series of tunnels beneath the island that held the Shard and strange green rocks throughout it.
