New Castile is a historic region of Spain and Castile which roughly correspond to the Taifa of Toledo taken during the Reconquista. The region is situated south of Old Castile, seperated by the Sistema Central.

In 1489, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins sabotaged supplies meant for Fort Alphonso in the region.[1] They later sent three members to infiltrate the fort and assassinate the executioner Pedrosa and commandant Duran, who were responsible for executing Horacio de Heredia's family.[2]
