Muhammad XII.

Muhammad XII was the Muslim King of Granada between 1487 and 1492. Muhammad was aware of the existence of the Assassins and had contact with them, and even though they did not always see eye to eye, he was an ally of the Order.

During the Spanish Inquisition, Muhammad was captured by the Templars and held within the besieged Alhambra palace. By doing this, the Templars prevented him from surrendering to the Spanish, causing the war to drag on.

The Templars planned to keep the war going to prevent Queen Isabella from funding Christoffa Corombo's expedition to the New World. However, the Assassin Ezio Auditore was able to infiltrate the palace and free Muhammad. He also persuaded the King to surrender to Spain, effectively ending the war and thwarting the Templars' plans.
