The Mountebank (real name: Victor Wolcott) was an Animi Avatar used by the entertainment branch of Abstergo Industries, as part of their plan to influence the general public, via the console stage of the Animus technology.

Unique Moves

(Low Profile, Front)

The Mountebanke kicks the target painfully in the gut, winding the target, then slices the target from his right, sending the target spinning, and then follows up by stabbing the target in the back. (Generic dagger move)

(Low Profile, Back)

The Mountebanke stabs his target in the back, spins around the target, and slices the throat of the target from the front. (Generic dagger move)

(High Profile, Front)

The Mountebanke grabs his target by the shoulder and stabs him twice in the gut before letting his target fall to the ground. (See The Mercenary from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for similar moves)

(High Profile, Back)

The Mountebank brutally shoves his target onto his knees, lifts the target's head upward, and slits his neck. The target falls to the ground, dying from blood-loss (This move is very similar to the move used by the Barber in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood)

Trivia

• The term "mountebank" was an old word that was derived from the Italian words "montambanco" or "montimbanco". All three words referred to the fraudulent practice of selling dubious medicines on a stage, making the term synonymous with quack doctors and charlatans.
