Mohammad Mosaddegh (16 June 1882 – 5 March 1967) was the democratically elected Prime Minister of Iran from 1951 to 1953. He attempted to nationalize the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company and distribute its profits to the Iranian people, but he was overthrown in a coup d'état orchestrated by Sha'baan Ja'fari,[1] who was hired by Abstergo Industries. After his ouster, the Templars installed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi as Shah of Iran.[2]
