Mogadishu is the capital and most populous city of Somalia. Located in the coastal Banaadir region next to the Indian Ocean, the city has served as an important port for millennia.
History
On Zheng He's fifth voyage in 1417, he headed for Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Upon reaching Mogadishu, he and his crew did not receive a warm welcome, as the people of the city attacked them but quickly surrendered to the Chinese official.[1]
In 2016, Assassin Galina Voronina and her two Erudito teammates, My'shell Lemair and Sheed, traveled there to capture Joseph Laurier, as the rogue Assassin was planning to kidnap the Templar Zehra Okur during the inauguration ceremony of the city's new commercial harbour.[2]
