Meketre was an Egyptian man living in Kanopos Nome during the 1st century BCE.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Meketre became the protector of Jarha's farm and family, chasing away aggressive animals or fighting bandits who harassed them. However, in 48 BCE, the group of bandits knowns as the Hungry Great Ones raided Jarha's farm and captured Meketre in the process, taking him to their camp.[1]
A while later, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa helped Jarha and his aunt, and due to their pleas, found and freed Meketre. Together, the two men returned to Meketre's village which had been raided by the bandits, killing them and their leader Fat Homer.[1]
