Shay Cormac in Marais Rocheux

Marais Rocheux is a vast terrain of woodland dotted with springs situated near the center of the River Valley of the New York state.

History

During the Seven Years' War, the Colonial Assassins made encampments in the forest of Marais Rocheux where they operated against the British.

In 10 August 1757, the Templar Shay Cormac sailed to Marais Rocheux to meet with his accomplice, Jack Weeks, where the latter informed Shay that Colonel George Monro had surrendered and the Abenaki led by the Assassin Kesegowaase had planned an ambush. Due to William Johnson and his reinforcements' absence, Shay Cormac was forced to protect Monro and escorted he and his men through Marais Rocheux to safety, by eliminating the stalkers.

Later, Shay sighted Kesegowaase on a cliff, planning another ambush. After dispatching his snipers, he returned to Monro and sailed with the Morrigan in pursuit of Kesegowaase.
