Le Chasseur (French: The Hunter; unknown – 1756) was a spy operating in New York, North Atlantic and River Valley during the Seven Years War between Britain and France. Le Chasseur would often gather vital information for the Assassins, such as the location of the box and manuscript sought after by Shay Cormac.
Before the game started Le Chasseur knew only little about the assassins. At some point in Le Chasseurs life, Le talked to Achilles Davenport about the two factions. When Achilles was done Le Chasseur decided not to join but ally himself with colinal assassins.

During the year 1756, Le Chasseur was acting as the commander of Fort La Croix in the River Valley. Because the fort posed a threat to the British further down river, Templar Shay Cormac took the Morrigan with newly equipped mortars and effectively took out the forts defences. After infiltrating the stronghold and taking out scouts, Shay confronted Le Chasseur in the war room and, after a short duel, Le Chasseur was killed.
