Brother Largworth was an Anglo-Saxons monk from Suthsexe, England who lived in the 9th century.
In the 870s, Brother Largworth lost his community and fellow monks after a raid on Chertsey Abbey. After burying his fellow brothers and neighbors, he stationed himself at a burial mount south from the abbey, proclaiming that he would take ninety-nine Danes' lives for the lives lost that day. Soon, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan investigated the burial mount and learned of what happened while overhearing Largworth's ramblings. Afterwards, Eivor ventured outside as Largworth attacked her out of hatred for Danes. However, Largworth was defeated and died at Eivor's hands.[1]
