Lance O'Donnell was a carpenter and resident of the Davenport Homestead during the American Revolutionary War. He settled into the Homestead after the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton saved him from a group of thugs, who held him above a steep rock face by a rope attached to his ankles.

Following his rescue, Lance converted the wood collected by the lumberjacks Godfrey and Terry into items such as barrels, which Ratonhnhaké:ton could later sell in the marketplaces of cities, gaining income.

Lance also claimed that he has invented folding chairs. Later, he discovered plans created by Leonardo da Vinci himself alongside his blueprints. He builds the flying machine and allows Connor to test it, though the first try only ended with a crash due to the lack of fire to keep it in the air.
