Kuruk was a Native American Pawnee warrior from a faraway land, who left his homeland when his elder brother was made chieftain of his tribe. In exile, Kuruk learned to create deadly weapons of his own design to remarkable effectiveness. Accompanying this, his great strength and short fuse made him a force to be reckoned with.
In 2012, his genetic memories were used as an Animi Avatar by the entertainment branch of the Templar company Abstergo Industries, to influence the general public via the Animus games console, under the title of the Bear.
