The Korinthian Helmet was a style of helmet in ancient Greece. This helmet was commonly used during the 5th century BCE, named after its original home of Korinthia.
History
During the Peloponnesian War, Spartans, who were allies of Korinthia, utilized this helmet for many of their own designs, and due to the war, the helmet was also a common sight in the inventories of blacksmiths .[1] Another commonly found helmet based on this simple design was the Heavy Korinthian Helmet.
Despite becoming militarily obsolete, this helmet was still worn for aesthetic reasons by gladiators like The Hoplite and bodyguards like Hypatos in Ptolemaic Egypt.[2]

Behind the scenes
The Korinthian Helmet, a helmet in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, has three different variants in the game. The first, plainest variant, is the same as a variant of the Spartan Soldier's Helmet, except its crest. The model is further shared by the Fortified Helm of the Fierce, a helmet in the DLC Legacy of the First Blade: Shadow Heritage. In the main game, multiple variants of this helmet are present, and others are based on its design, including the commonly found Mercenary Helmet, Hoplite Helmet and Spartan Polemarch Helmet. Its design is also shared with the Isu Myrmidon Helmet, but with Isu characteristics.
