Kim Jung Gi (born 1975) is a South Korean artist and writer.
Biography
Early life
Kim Jung Gi was born in 1975 in the town of Goyang-Si, in the Kyongki-Do province of South Korea. By the age of 19, he was an aspiring artist and attended a Fine Arts School, majoring in Art and Design. He later attended Dong-eui University in Busan for three years and also performed two years of compulsory service in the South Korean army as a part of the Special Forces Unit.[1]
In 2003, he published his first story Funny Funny in Young Jump magazine. He continued writing short stories which led to him teaching classes for manhwa at various private schools and universities. From 2008 to 2010, he collaborated with Seung-Jin Park to create the six volume manhwa Tiger the Long Tail. Later that year and again in 2013, Jung Gi illustrated two of French author Bernard Werber's novels, Paradise and Third Humanity.[1]
