The Khurasan Gate Guardhouse was a military garrison built around the Khurasan Gate leading into the Round City of Baghdad, located southwest of the Prince's Palace in the Harbiyah district.
In the 860s, the leader of the Zanj rebels Ali ibn Muhammad was brought to and held at the guardhouse, before he was later relocated to the Damascus Gate Prison.[1]
