Karpos' House

Karpos' House was a residence in the Silver Foothills on the island Thasos, Greece. Part of the Vineyard of Glory, it was owned by Karpos.

History[edit | edit source]

Under Karpos, the villa became known for the ceaseless parties where wine flowed freely, and especially the promising athletes from the Champion's Gymnasium in the city were welcome.[1]

However, all this drew the attention of the Cult of Kosmos, and they made the acquaintance of Karpos. Eventually this relationship evolved into the Cult pressuring Karpos to let them use his house, his wine, to drug the young athletes, and kidnap them.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra investigated what was going on in the Hephaistos Islands as the Neleus, the nephew of her friend Barnabas, fell ill after a night of drinking at Karpos' house. While exploring the place, she destroyed several pots of exotic wine and the Cultist guards protecting the stash, luring Karpos out and to talk.[1]
