The Jötnar (singular Jötunn) were the "frost giants" of Jötunheimr in Norse mythology.
Mythology
Jönar had a reputation for kidnapping human brides.[1]
Loki was part-Jötunn and fathered three children with the giantess Angrboða, who would later fight the gods during Ragnarök.[1]
Influence
