Joseph Reed (died 1750s), also known as The Aristocrat, was a notorious pirate active during the mid-18th century.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Joseph Reed, along with his fellow pirate William Crest, made a fortune by raiding and attacking trade ships in the Atlantic Ocean. Reed captained a Man O' War called the Pilgrim which, alongside Crest's ship, the Cauldron, was sunk by the Templar Shay Cormac's vessel, the Morrigan, during a battle between the pirates and the Royal Navy.[1]
