John Pierpont Morgan (1837 – 1913) was an American financier, banker, and art collector who dominated corporate finance and industrial consolidation during his time. He was also a member of the Templar Order.

Morgan initially invested in Nikola Tesla's Wardenclyffe Tower, but after Thomas Edison, another Templar, who was Tesla competition, contacted him and told him that Tesla wanted to give the people free electricity and to cut off the funds for his experiments. Edison also told Morgan to discredit Tesla in front of other investors, in order to keep them away from him. Morgan then began a campaign against Tesla, and showed the faults with his invention of AC electricity.
