Jerusalem (Hebrew: ירושלים-Yerushala'yim) is the largest city in Israel and its Capital. It is a location in Assassin's Creed.

History

It is known as the "Holy City" to Christians, Muslims, and Jews. The largest town of all the Kingdom, it houses exquisite towers, cathedrals, and other buildings, denoting the contrast of cultures here. On the city is located the Temple of Solomon, where The Apple was located inside the Ark of Hope. During 1190, one of Templars bases, the Templar Tower, was located there.

In 1190, Altaïr visited the city twice. During his first visit, he infiltrated a noble villa where he attacked Lord Basilisk and captured the third key to the Temple of the Sand. His next step took him into the Templar Tower, where he killed its Master and took a map to the Temple of the Sand. During his second visit, he freed the Chalice, an artifact he was looking for, from the Templars control.

At 1191, the time of Altaïr visiting the city again, it is governed by Saracens (Muslims) and Crusaders are battling to capture it for Christianity. He had three targets to assassinate in the city.
