Jamal (Arabic: جمال) was a member of the Syrian sect of the Assassin Order. In 1191, he and fellow Assassin Masun secretly defected to the Templar Order and allowed them to enter the Assassins' fortress of Masyaf by opening the gates. After that, he continued to act as being an Assassin, standing at his post just outside Masyaf, in the countryside.
