==Trivia==
*When the player uses Covert Escort post-game, Jacob and another recruit will still wear the redcoat uniform despite the conclusion of the American Revolution. This will also cause the Continental Army soldiers, who  replace the redcoats entirely in the post-war, to attack the assassins as they would attack anyone they see wearing redcoat uniforms.
**This fact renders the Covert Escort tactic entirely useless post-game as there are no redcoats to blend among without provoking enemies to attack Connor and his recruits.

Jacob Zenger (1739 - unknown) was a German member of the American Assassins during the American Revolutionary War. He was recruited by the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton in New York City.

Recruiting Zenger allowed Ratonhnhaké:ton to use a Covert Escort at any time.

Biography

Early Life

Jacob was born near the town of Mannheim, in what is today Southwestern Germany. He was the son of a farmer, and one of thirteen siblings. Only four of his brothers and sisters would reach adulthood along with him.

Joining the Hessians

Zenger's family was poor and his career prospects were limited in Mannheim. Following the promise of a better life, he signed up as a soldier. After several years in the service, he was shipped to New York - one of the Hessians sent to fight for the British in the Revolution.

Deserting the Army

Jacob - like many of the Hessian troops - left the service after coming overseas. Eager to get back to the country, Zenger bought a plot of land and left New York. However, after a string of crop failures, he was forced to move back to the city, taking up the only career that he could find to pay the bills - working as a bodyguard.
