Huracan (English: One legged), is the Kʼicheʼ Maya god of storms, as well as wind and fire. They are also credited with participating in the creation of humanity in the Maya foundational sacred narrative Popol Vuh.[1].
In February 1725, the Dutch navigator John Young told the Assassin Edward Kenway that they'd better"be as swift as Huracan in [their] escape," after the latter set flame to Madam Lee's opium.[2]
