The Hookblade was a modification to the hidden blade adopted by Ezio Auditore da Firenze, during his time in Constantinople.[1]
Gameplay
The Hookblade is designed to make travel quick and easy. Ezio can use ziplines planted throughout the city, making movement across distances faster. It is stated by the developers that ziplines increase navigation by 30%. It can also be used as a weapon in combat, wherein Ezio pulls enemies in for a close-ranged attack.[2]
Trivia
- According to the June 2011 edition of Gameinformer, Assassin's Creed :Revelations will feature a new control system. Pressing the Y on Xbox 360 & O in PS3 will trigger the hook blade.
