Hong Kong is a port city and region on the southern coast of China geographically enclosed by the Pearl River Delta and South China Sea, and one of the most densely populated areas in the world.

In 2012, Stephanie Chiu fled from Abstergo Industries after discovering her father's involvement in the New Fluoride scandal. She escaped to Hong Kong, were she met the Assassins Gavin Banks and Susan Drayton, and joined the Assassin Brotherhood aboard the Altaïr II.
